End of Summer Garage Sales, what to expect?

Those of you who are regular garage sale pickers, what do you usually find at this time of year, and what tips can you give us for August and September garage sales?

Is there a particular strategy you should use now that gasoline prices are rising? Should you even have a garage sale in August and wait for cooler weather in September or October, or is August still a vacation month so garage sale results would be poor?

And what about pricing? What items would be better to sell now, and what items would fetch a better price if your garage sale were held two months from now?
