Now I'm viewing American national politics as a spin-off of Tolkien's Middle Earth, with the Republicans in Mordor headed by the Dark Lord, Trump, and the Democrats made up of well-intended hobbits, men, dwarves and elves on an LGBT quest for tolerance, peace, and safety.
