Hard Rock Lake Tahoe/Vegas

Looking for some information about the Hard Rock Tahoe/Vegas. Because I live close to Tahoe, Harrah's and Harvey's are my go to casinos. We like to play in the snow and those give me the best and cheapest proximity to the snow areas. I would like to at least check out some of the other options in Tahoe and Vegas.

Any info on pay tables in Tahoe or Vegas? Good/bad experiences at the hotel. Food? etc. I know in Tahoe, it's the old Horizon, so I'm not expecting a huge resort experience, mainly looking for better paytables than CET and if I like the experience, trying out a night or two at the HR Vegas.

Just looked at Yelp, not very good reviews. Any real experiences? Thanks

I walked through the Hard Rock Tahoe and although I may have missed them I did not see any good pay tables. It is mainly a younger crowd. I did like checking out some of the rock and roll memorabilia scattered throughout. As far as the restaurants go, some of them look interesting but we have not eaten at any of them.

Maybe it's because I have such dismal memories of the Horizon, I just don't know if I can warm up to the place unless it's got some exceptional pay tables.
