What ever happened to "Trick or treat for UNICEF"?

Do you remember "Trick or Treat for UNICEF" when we used to go around with a container for pennies to help kids around the world through the United Nations? Well, UNICEF is still around.

And they still have a Trick Or Treat campaign but to be honest no kids have ever asked me for UNICEF money in all the years I've been answering the door -- and that goes back to the early 1970's when I got out of college.

Honestly, until I looked up UNICEF on the Internet a few minutes ago, if some kid came to my door asking for UNICEF money I wouldn't believe them and would think it was a Halloween prank aimed at "old folks" like me.
