Seven Stars Benefits Timeline

I am getting a lot of conflicting information about deadlines to use various 7* benefits.

I made 7* for the first time in November 2017 (just two months ago). Was diamond from 2015 to 2017.

A host e-mailed a bunch of deadlines.

• $500 Celebration Dinner expiring January 31, 2018
• 7* Annual Trip booked and completed by January 31, 2018
• Level 1 Aspiration booked by January 31, 2018 and completed by June 30, 2018
• Level 2 Aspiration booked by January 31, 2018 and completed by June 30, 2018

I believe the Aspirations deadlines are correct, and I actually used the Level 2 trip a couple of weeks ago. My question is about the 7* benefits.

According to http://www.sevenstarsinsider.com/201...tars-deadlines, the 7* benefits were earned by hitting 150,000 TCs in 2017, but are to be used 2/1/2018-1/31/2019. But the host is implying that I have just three more days to use my Trip and Celebration Dinner. If that is the case I will hightail it to my nearest CET steakhouse tonight and have some expensive steak and wine. The Trip would go to waste.

So who is right, sevenstarinsider, a CET host, and/or the CET website?

And I too am disappointed in the loss of the guaranteed free room benefit. One of my main motivations for earning 7* was to get guaranteed free rooms in AC during the summer. :mad:

You are both right.
You get two trips and two $500 celebration dinners. One that expires 1/31/2018 and one that expires 1/31/2019.
If you don't hightail it there before 1/31 you will lose the one that expires 1/31/2018, but regardless come 2/1/2018 you will have a new one.

7 Stars and MGM Platinum both changed big time in the M.O.'s of offerings and operations around 2010isg or so if I recall. How 7 Stars used to bank all your points and you could freely spend them as you desired in retail shops on premises and then have your hosts cover all your RF&B, etc., by hard comping them. Then the first sign was of the trimming up was CET having the stedfast rule that all points have to be used and deducted forst for all RF&B and then the host can step in. All points went away towards the stay and on property stuff before shopping. We were able to burnt he points up prior to check out but they stopped that as well with about one year of their trimming up thoughts. They cut themselves in the foot with all their full comp players by doing what they did.

Back around then and before all points still expired yearly but a host was able to extend deadlines by numerous months. All changed.

She was super helpful, and booked me a Tahoe suite for tonight to 1/31, and is even arranging last minute transportation from/to the airport. So I booked a last minute ticket (less that the $1,200 credit) and will soon let my boss know I ain't coming in until Thursday. In the air now and fingers-crossed that a driver is waiting for me this evening.

At Tahoe what you don't use of your $500 dining folio they will let you use at the gift shop.

You can also burn some of that $500 folio credit at the Spa. Between Spa, Sage Room, and Friday Station you can easily use it all up 😛.

It will not be difficult at all to burn $500 in Tahoe if you care at all about wine.

You're correct. Caesars has been slowly degrading their comps over the past 7-8 years, and the biggest degradation occurred in 2018 with the loss of the guaranteed comp room benefit for Seven Stars.

The "having to use all RCs before RFB comps are allowed" rule is really annoying, and they started heavily enforcing it around 2014. Prior to that, it was enforced at some properties (especially Vegas), but corporate looked the other way when certain properties (or hosts) gave RFB comps to players with RCs still in their accounts. Eventually they made a hard rule that this was never allowed.

There is still a trick to get around this. Look at all the junk e-mails you get regarding Total Rewards partners, and find the ones which have to do with hotels at non-CET properties. For example, right now they have partnerships with Rocketmiles and Wyndham. Simply use RCs to book fake future stays until almost all of your RCs are gone, then take your gambling trip, get your RFB comps, and then cancel those hotel stays when you get back, and the RCs will return to your account.

I've never done this personally, but I know those that have.

Also, a warning about Seven Stars Insider:

I lost some respect for Darryl, the owner of the site, after the debacle with the removal of the Seven Stars comp room benefit for 2018.

While nearly all Seven Stars member with a clue were lamenting this MAJOR degradation in Seven Stars benefits, Darryl dug his heels in and repeatedly expressed that this was no big deal, and that "95% of Seven Stars won't be affected". (TOTALLY FALSE!!)

Darryl also seemed to lack understanding that the Seven Stars room comp was done via an internal code in the CET system. He seemed to believe that hosts could simply choose to "not enforce" the new rule change, which of course is impossible if the booking requires a code which no longer exists.

I tried to e-mail Darryl and explain all of this to him, and his e-mails back to me were very dismissive.

Other Seven Stars tried tweeting with him about this, and basically explaining the same things I was, and again, he stubbornly insisted this didn't matter except to people who abuse the CET system.

I'll give Darryl credit where it's due:

- He's good at presenting information on the Seven Stars program in an organized, clear fashion.

- He has amassed great information regarding the extra benefits and quirks of Seven Stars at the various CET properties.

- His hard facts are accurate. I rarely see something he posts which ends up being factually incorrect.


However, when he presents an opinion about something in the Seven Stars program (or anything else, for that matter), you should best ignore it, as often he comes off more as the grumpy old man who is too stubborn to admit that his initial position was wrong.

IMPORTANT! You can convert any unused Seven Stars celebration dinner vouchers to RCs, but only through 1/31/18.

I agree with you on Daryl on both opinions. The problem is he is a recreational player and still sees CZR as a “good” company who occasionally makes mistakes. He never would think of, or do the things AP’s or even smarter players do to work the system. His 95% comment makes me believe he thinks others are cheating CZR’s and the program and has no concern with them losing benefits.

That said he does offer a lot of good information about the program like you said.

Managed to go through all but about $20 of the folio credit. A massage and two dinners with multiple appetizers and surf and turf at Sage Room and 19 Kitchen did most of the damage. Both restaurants provided good service and good food.

Just an FYI, when I went to pick up my Heavenly passes they asked whether I wanted them or Sierra passes (or one of each). I like that there seems to be a choice, but I was somewhat irked because I paid out of pocket for Sierra the day before. Sierra passes are only good at Sierra, but Heavenly passes are also good at Northstar and Kirkwood.

I got back in time to use the $500 Celebration Dinner with friends at Gordon Ramsay Steak at Horseshoe Baltimore. The waitress kept us updated on our running total, so it was easy to take full advantage. An alternative would be to buy a bottle or two of wine to go. Everyone had a great time.
