"Professional poker player" mom buys fentanyl, leaves it sitting out in her Orleans room, kid dies after taking it after she doesn't bring him to hospital

Ugly story out of the Orleans hotel and casino.

A 4-year-old boy died after taking a fentanyl pill which was labeled as oxycodone for sale on the black market, and the mom noticed he had taken it and was sick, but chose to go back down and play poker.

Amber Mitchell, 34, identifies as a "pro poker player for a decade", but I cannot find any real tournament results for her, nor am I aware of her from the Vegas cash scene. It is likely she's a drug dealer who plays poker on the side, and probably loses.

She looks like a druggie herself, and possibly also a hooker.

Some dude came to her room with various pills, and she laid them out on the counter to later sell. She then went downstairs to play poker, leaving her two young kids in the room. Her 4-year-old took one or more of the pills, and she noticed him very sick when she came back upstairs. Instead of taking him to the hospital, she went back down to play poker, because she hadn't yet cashed out, and figured he'd be okay. When she came back up, he had died.

I once saw a boy maybe 6 years old with his mother outside the Orleans at maybe 10pm.

The mother was yelling into her cell phone. She had the twitchy erratic manner of a meth head.

I couldn't quite make out the conversation but she was venting about a third party, using lots of bad language. At one point she said something like "I'm not going to give anything to the guy that's molesting my fucking kid!"

The whole time the kid was playing with some kind of action figure looking completely lost in his own world even though he was plenty old enough to be aware of his surroundings.

I considered calling CPS but wasn't sure if there was anything concrete enough to act on and also wasn't sure if the kid would be better off for it. Maybe.

Pro poker play is about making good decisions after reading the situation, I have a hard time believing this person is capable of making good decisions when it comes to playing poker, especially when they can't make an EASY good decision about one of the most important things in their life.

Perhaps one might appreciate her work ethic and commitment to poker.

Yeah, the main thing telling me the mother is scum was leaving the kid after she had realized he had taken that pill. Now, she likely knew that pill she had was fentanyl, but even if she didn’t know and thought it was Oxycodone, it’s just as bad. Oxycodone is still a very strong Opiate especially a 30mg pill. Taken by a 4 year old child who doesn’t have a tolerance, it’s very likely to be fatal. So even giving her the benefit of the doubt she is still a scumbag.

She basically gambled with her child’s life and lost. She was scared to go to the hospital and tell them her child likely accidentally consumed an opiate. Knowing the police would be contacted, she pressed her luck and it cost her sons life. Very sad.

Alan can win at Craps via a method that was used by a group of cheaters.
Alan, first of all go to another state. Doing the following in Vegas will likely get you hung or face the firing squad.
You need someone that will play a crippled person in a wheel chair. The shooter switches out the dice for your own magnetic dice. The wheelchair is modified with a huge electric magnetic. The wheel chair sits at the end of the table. Once the dice are in the air turn the magnet on and you can have all the 18 Yo’s in a row that you want. Do it in a hick state, they probably won’t throw the book at you if caught. Getting caught in Nevada and your fucked.

I would guess past posting/capping is much easier - no special equipment needed, just quick skillful hands and a lot of practice I would imagine.
