Wow, that's so ridiculous. Game designers are working overtime to be deceptive.
No, I believe it's one of the random events called "Cashman Antics." The cartoon guy will suddenly interrupt the action to pay out everything on the board.

This is my preffered way of playing the Maxi from reset. LOL. Both coordinated with the free spot. Went pretty deep on the play, 104 units, but wound up with a 160 unit profit.
I've yet to even see a major on the board yet. And there are about 20 of these machines around me.
Also, none of them are progressives. They are fixed amounts.
$1.50 bet level. Sometimes I find a Maxi equivalent:
One other thing. Me and a few other have notice a certain "pattern" showing up on the board numerous times. You can see it here on page 3 of Shacklefords bingo thread on WoV. Scroll down to post #5 by NathanV.

most that I see have only Major and Grand as progressives.
Since reading Mickey's strategy I have been checking these for the progressives at the airport and at the casinos I visit and have not seen a major yet. Have seen a decent few maxis although always with the board completely reset.
The game seems so ridiculously gaffed I wouldn't be too sure the middle thing even matters. Not saying you're wrong or right - I have 0 clue.
Early in the game it might be safe to assume that the diagonals are worth 1.5x as much as any other spot. I guess it can't be predetermined from the start as to what happens, so there is likely always a chance for any of them to go off. Even if there is some trigger function, the diagonals should be 1.5x more likely to hit.
Is the game without the visual keyboard and progs the same as the one with the checkable keypad? Just a different button interface?
I'm showing a healthy profit playing maxi from reset when it's coordinated with the freespace. It helps if the other meter is not coordinated with the freespace but not necessary.
By gaming law the balls that haven't come out yet have to be random. So the maxi coordinated with the freespace has a big leg up on making a bingo before another row does.
Oops, I did it again. The big surprise to me was the $135 the wheel dumped into the free space.
You won't find majors on a regular basis in my home area. These machines are set low pay back.
And of course a square that has a coin with the cash equivalent of the maxi (or higher) is also fine if it makes a line with the center square. I think this was mentioned before but bears repeating. Excellent tip Mickey.
Yesterday I actually hit a Mini on the wheel spin.
What is the average number of spins to go from reset to bingo? I'm looking at the neighborhood of 115.
I found a maxi... at .75. Was in it for $10 when I hit a bingo but the filler space dropped a 37.50. Whatever, I was happy with that. It was odd to me though that it hit so fast, then when it did hit the number was large. Just seems gaffed.. so many small numbers then I hit a big number and it also happens to complete a bingo very early on in the cycle.
I've started to look at it more for MAXI's to spin off. Will see.
