Blackjack income
I've been working the last few months to start playing blackjack for profit and not just donate to the state. I'm playing at a 3:2 game with 6 decks hitting on soft 17. I have the high count system down and know all the basic strategy charts. I'm not worried about getting backed off because my spread will be between 5-50 and that is very common from other players I've seen at our tables. Any tips on how to maximize profits?

Learn the Ill-18 indices (and Fab4 if it's LS). To maximize profits also means to decrease losses -- so wong out at a TC of -2...if you're aggressive then -1 (or if you see a table nearby shuffling with open seats, wong out at -1). Buy blackjack attack 3 (from Don Schlesinigger). Don't play when it's really crowded or slow. Try to play heads up, although that can be difficult on $5 min games.

There are many more 21+3 tables than standard. Are these ok to play ignoring the side bet?
-
Yes, ignoring the side bet, it's the same. But if you're on a table with side bets, oftentimes it can really slow down the game if others are playing it a lot and especially with a new dealer. Sometimes the dealer or players will try to pressure you into playing the side bet saying, "That's where you make all the money!" Or something stupid like that.
