Craps players: what's wrong with this picture?

Harrah's Rincon on its facebook page has a photo of players at craps. What's wrong with the photo?

Well, it was staged with the models holding their drinks on the rail of the craps table.

Players: never keep drinks on the rail where they can spill onto the layout. I've been at casinos where a drink spilled onto the layout and they had to close the table because a wet felt will effect the roll of dice. If the table could not be quickly and thoroughly dried, it forced the casino to change the layout felt.

Which reminds me of something my Aunt Selma did years ago at MGM Grand. As a souvenir, she asked the blackjack pit boss for a table layout.

The pit boss said "I'm sorry, we don't have any spares."

So Aunt Selma says, "well if I spill my drink on this one you'll have to change it."

So the pit boss got on the phone and a few minutes later Aunt Selma got her layout.

I just noticed... there is something else "wrong" with the picture. The players have no chips! (Unless all of their chips are on the layout and they are playing with their last dollar... and every craps player knows you never bet your last dollar.)

And I noticed something else -- two "red" dice are used. At Rincon, they use two different colored dice to choose the cards that decide the "roll." One die is red, and I think the other is blue to select one of six red cards and one of six blue cards.

This photo is now reminding me of the classic Norman Rockwell paintings/prints called April Fool which are intentionally loaded with visual errors. Here is a link to an article about these unique paintings.

I don't think the Rincon craps photo has as many "errors" but it's fun to spot them.

I was able to find a different version of this photo on the Harrah's website. It's cropped differently. Perhaps this will help us find even more "errors"?? Keep in mind that the "banner" that says "play the odds" covers the other die which is also "red" and that's one of the errors since Rincon uses two different colored dice to select the cards in its card craps game.

Okay... I think this version of the photo reveals another error. Assuming that the point is "6" or "8" with five times odds (that is the maximum odds at Rincon), the player directly to the right of the shooter appears to have too much for the odds bet. I think the "flat bet" is 5 red chips or $25, which would mean a maximum odds bet of $125 or 5 green chips. But it appears to me that there is a stack of six or seven green chips as odds.

Another way to look at the flat bet vs the odds when red and green chips are used is that the stack of red should be the same size as the stack of green since each green chip is 5X the value of the red.

the guy in the blue shirt seems to have a "no 4" as well as a bet on the 4, which is of course ridiculous. The 4 greens with the "lay" button are "no 4", and he has a smaller buy on the 4. Otherwise, if the 4 greens with the button are a buy, they are in the wrong box as that is the lay box.
