I had a player ask me to sell him my 7* companion card. Has+ anyone ever done this?
Why? The only value is that it lets the holder use Seven Stars lines. There are no other benefits. Well... maybe valet and Diamond lounges.
The companion cards go for $1,000+ in the Atlantic City market. Reasons? Access to the two Seven Stars lounges and full buffets in the Diamond Clubs.
I would be happy to list anyone as my 7 Stars Companion for $1,000. In fact, to move the sale along, I will price my "companion card" at $998. But wait, there's more! I will include at no additional cost, as a free bonus, with no additional charge for shipping and handling... an expired room key card to Caesars Palace Las Vegas!
I agree with Alan. I will also sell mine for a price like that.
If anyone in AC is interested, PM me.
I will sell my companion card for $5 less than Dan. PM me.
I know several AC locals/retirees who would be interested. Since your card expires on Jan 31, 2018, the companion card value is actually much higher (than 17 big bets).
The only logistical problem is actually meeting up at a Total Rewards property to go through the paperwork. (e.g. one retiree has a fear of flying... are you willing to fly to Philadelphia/AC to accommodate?)
Do both people have to be at the total rewards desk together to do this? In the past, I've had my girlfriend with me when I assigned the companion card to her, but I don't recall that she had to sign anything. I think I signed the form with her name, address and TR card number.
If an AC person wants to come out to Vegas or Rincon my card is for sale.
I guarantee the lowest price. (So many single Seven Stars card holders will do this that the market value will drop to one video poker bet.)
Market prices are actually set by the last sale. So, is there any info on the actual last sale of a TR companion card?
Mine expires on 1/31/17.
But it doesn't matter, because last I heard, companion cards always expire at the end of the TR year (1/31 now).
If I go to AC, I will let you know and maybe I can meet up with someone there to sign them up.
Also if you know of any of these AC people visiting Vegas or Rincon, please let me know.
Hi, I would be willing to buy a companion card for $100. I can paypal you the funds or pay in cash in Vegas (my next trip is the 16th-21st of may).
I am currently diamond and have been for almost 10 years.
You can PM me on the forum.
I will be in LV May 23-31.
I'm in the market for $100 companion cards too...maybe 100+
I will be in LV May 21-22. But I am a greedy SOB and I want more than $100. You can save hundreds of dollars shopping in the gift shops (if you are so inclined) with a 7 Stars Card.
It looks like the unofficial price of Seven Stars companion cards will be going up with the start of MGM's parking fees and the anticipation that Caesars will quickly follow. I am seeing more posts on Internet forums with players willing to pay to be listed as a "companion." http://alanbestbuys.com/id335.html
If anyone is in the tri-state area, looking to buy a 7star companion card. Willing to pay ~$450, must be good for 2017
NY/NJ/PA
Basically want it for my AC trips.
I believe all of the companion cards expire on 1/31/17, and they have to be re-established at that point.
I will go ask TR later today if it's possible to do a companion card from across the country, like if each person goes to TR at the same time in their respective casinos.
That might make it easier.
i have a sev stars companion card avaikable for $800 or best offer....i live in va but play at harrahs cherokee alot and vegas some.....ill be in atlantic city for 3-4 days this weekend if anyone wants the card
u still looking for a card?
my card is good til jan 2018 by the way
would love a companion card in vegas. i visit here and enjoy the spa and lounges..in vegas now.
Has anyone ascertained whether or not both card holders need to be present to give someone your companion card?
There is a way to get it done without both cardholders being there.
I just managed this. My 7 Stars companion was thousands of miles away when he got his.
It's not easy to do, but it can be done.
First, get the full name (correct spelling) and Total Rewards # of the person you want to assign as companion.
Next, find out from your TR companion which property your companion will be visiting to pick up the card.
Then go to Total Rewards yourself, and talk a supervisor into doing this for you. Some will agree, others will refuse and claim it can't be done. If you get refused, go to another Total Rewards or come during a different shift and get a different supervisor.
Fortunately I got a nice supervisor who was very helpful and said yes, without me having to look elsewhere.
If they agree, you will fill out a form with your info and your companon's info. Be sure to have that companion's info with you when you visit Total Rewards, so you can fill out the form.
Tell the supervisor which property your companion will be picking up the card at. Ask them to BOTH note your TR account to allow this, as well as e-mail the supervisor at the other property regarding what's going on.
Then your companion just needs to show up to their property, tell them to look up your TR # (make sure you give it to them), check the notes, and complete the process over there.
I got it done successfully, though there were some hiccups along the way.
I am interested in a companion card on seven stars. My guy is diamond and will not go to the next level, and tired of having him to check me in just to use the spa. I am in Vegas a lot and willing to pay above 300$ negotiable and all. I dont shop a lot in the stores so its not much use to me there, but I love the gym use and the no waiting in lines. Thanks
According to Darryl McEwen, as of Sept. 28th, 2017, the Seven Stars/Diamond (Aspirations Level 2) Companion Card can be assigned only to a spouse/domestic partner. Those who have designated a friend, family member, etc. will have to make a change on Feb. 1st, 2018.
I don't know if this is a rule change or not, but I just looked at the Seven Stars companion card rules and they say:
"Companion must be the Seven Stars member's spouse/domestic partner and be 21 years of age or older in the United States, or 19 years of age or older in Canada."
For the last several years I've given my companion card to girlfriends. No one ever asked if they were a spouse or domestic partner. Are they really going to start asking???
I called my host about this. My host says the "original rule" was spouses and domestic partners. Then it appears it was opened up to anyone could be the companion. But now my host says they are going back to spouses and domestic partners.
I can't imagine them asking for proof if you both show up together. Even same sex.
I LoL’ed at this. If you’re a nice individual, I’ll grant you a full year of 7stars Companion for no charge.
I want to buy a companion card as well. I am Vegas based.
$900 will be in LV March 2019 on.
Yes, had a SS companion for a number of years, due to unfortunate circumstances, my Buddy unable to get to that level for 2019.In LV for biz.a number of times a year.
If I were still Seven Stars I'd sell you mine. But per the new rules Seven Stars Companions cannot bring a guest into Diamond Lounges.
I am in Atlantic City currently and I am interested in buying a companion card for 2019. Please let me know.
My 7* companion card is available. I'll be in Vegas this month. Message me if interested.
I’m interested in buying 7 star companion status. I’m in AC, lmk.
Mine is still available as well. Can do Philadelphia May 29 or June 11, Baltimore mid June or will be in Vegas at the end of June - if interested please PM.
Anyone has one available to sell for this year?
Mine is available. PM to discuss if interested.
I have a Seven Stars companion card available. I will be in Las Vegas next week, staying at Caesars Palace. Will need to be able to pick up the card on 2/13, 2/14 or 2/15. The companion card is NOT for sale but is being offered at no charge as a thank you for the information I have received from this board. I am a long time lurker but finally registered an account to post this. I want it go to someone who will get value from it, so please don't ask for it if you will only use it on a single trip. I also want it to go to someone who will not cause a scene or get in a fist fight in the lounge, etc. so please only ask for it if your momma taught you to act right. I will be the sole judge of which "applicant" should be the recipient of the card.
FYI I was able talk them into doing a companion card for someone who wasn't physically present with me, and in fact that person picked it up in another state. This was a few years ago, though. But that's a possible option if the person can't make it from 2/13-2/15.
I should also mention that, unless you are going to use Diamond/Seven Stars lounges, there's not much point to get a Seven Stars companion card if you're already Diamond. It's better to give this to someone who is Gold or Platinum.
Anyway, if you can't find anyone who wants this, I might be able to find a Vegas local I know who would appreciate it.
Thanks for this generous offer.
If you have not found anyone to take the card I will be in Las Vegas on the 13th. I go to Vegas several times a year enjoy visiting the diamond lounge. Now that they charge points I have to really limit the amount of times I visit the lounge so this card would come in handy. If you already have someone who could use it more then no problem.
If this is still a thing...I have a Seven Star companion card good through Jan 2022 I'd be willing to sell. I'm located in AC and will be in Vegas May20th-June 6th. Message me if interested.
Back 2016 or 17 my wife had her 7* Companion issued to someone she did not know or authorize. To fix the problem they issued my wife a second player's number. This so TR could give out the proper Companion Card. They never did say who or where it got issued.
7* companion card is worthless in Vegas. Can't even get the four drink voucher. It does put you in front for taxis.
