Card Player Poker Tour at Hollywood Park Casino

Card Player Magazine has been running a series of poker tournament at various casinos around the country and it's current on at Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood, near LAX.

The racetrack has closed at Hollywood Park but the casino is still open and now it is trying to rebrand itself as the casino for the west side of LA.

Did your son win the tournament outright? Or was there an abrupt ending to the tournament resulting in a chop?

Jason told me that the tournament had run 11 hours, and there was a chop. Four of the 5 remaining players were pretty even in chips. Jason gave players #4 and #5 a few hundred dollars each to make the chop work. Without the chop first place paid $5800 and second place paid $2900. With the chop he got $3400 after paying players #4 and #5 $200 each ($400 total).
