So in regards to seedvalue: I don't doubt his claims. I have no reason to. While I don't do that multiple card/multiple people play other than very small scale family members, I know there are many that are doing it or have done so in the past few years. I have no idea if people can make the kind of money seedvalue and Darkoz claim.
The only thing I have ever said about seedvalue is that I thought he was JWT when he showed up. And I was not alone. Multiple people that I communicated with initially thought so. I was wrong! At the time I started on these forums and started sharing my experiences, including what I make, 2 books and a movie about the MIT team had just come out. Followed by the "Holy Rollers" movie, followed by KC's solo trip around the country (there was almost a 10 year delay in KC's actual trip and when the documentary came out). All of these movies and books falsely portrayed what a card counter could make. They all made it look like 100's of thousands to a million dollars a year. And a player could make that for 6-12 months until they wore out their welcome everywhere. Then these guys were all writing books and running bootcamps.
I wanted to show what a solo type card counter, wanting to achieve some longevity and playing limits that would allow for that could really make. That was my plan when I moved to Las Vegas and I think I have done pretty darn well with it. And along the way, I have not just shared amounts that I have made, most years under 6 figures, a few just over, but I have shared some really bad years, including a couple way below expectation, to show just how that and variance works. I am pretty proud of that. I know there aren't many (if any) new aspiring card counters on this forum, or over at GF. These forums are just haters, now. But I still hope some new card counters, if there ever are again, might stumble on what I have shared at one of these forums and benefit by it. And that is why I have even tried to help a few players that do nothing but attack me. Maybe someone else comes along later and finds some value in it.
