Keeping track of income/expenses

What do you guys use to keep track of income and expenses APing? Excel or some other type of software?

I use the QuickBooks knockoff NoBooks....ask your accountant... :)

I use Gum Bands.
You may call them Rubber Bands.
The more, The Better.

APing has no need to keep track of expenses unless they're living on the edge and trying to keep from falling over, or they're filing as a professional gambler.

For Schedule C filers, all expenses are required to be supported in an IRS audit. So whether you choose some slick digital program or simply use a the pencil & paper method to record expenditures real-time, the only important thing is to get them right.
