The GOP controlled State legislature is working to rewrite and update the gambling compact with the Indian tribes in AZ but it goes much further. The amended document will allow further Indian casino expansion. Addition of baccarat and craps (not electronic form) to be allowed as well as sports books will be able to operate on casino properties as well as at sports venues such as the Dbacks Cardinals Suns and Coyotes games as well as online. (There is some question if this might go as far as allowing online gaming like NJ currently allows. I can tell you there is also a push to try and get online poker added as well by the tribe who runs the largest poker room in the state and agreement from the GRI tribe who also run decent sized poker rooms and the Ak Chin who’s casino is run by and is part of Ceasers.).
