The UNKewl Challenge - did UNKewlJ receive any settlement money for his fictional backrooming incident?

The interaction I had with regnis here was over that he was claiming, incorrectly, that a CTR could be issued where currency was not even involved at any stage in the transaction.

CTRs are issued for transactions:
"involving cash-in and cash-out of more than $10,000."
but he kept arguing otherwise.

At the same time that he was claiming to have written the regulation or have had something to do with its drafting, he didn't understand it.

CTR = Currency Transaction Reports. Currency.

So, no, you cannot

I socialize at the track but I don't discuss my picks other than with one or two friends who rely on me. I also try to avoid hearing the loudmouth's picks because I then find myself doing the Richard Dreyfuss and taking myself off of horses that I like just because I know the idiot touting that horse is a loser. So yes--the losers you see in the race book are just that.

Kewl--the inaccuracies in the workouts etc. is probably overstated. Yes they exist. But any pro does not rely on those numbers. They either keep their own charts and/or watch every race. I know what I see--I don't need the racing form to tell me. I no longer keep my own charts because I am getting too old for the time that it takes. But I have decades of charts in organized boxes in my basement. I do try to watch every race but that also takes a ton of time. That is a reason to limit the number of tracks or races that one plays. But please don't have the misconception that we are all losers and that you can't beat the game. There are many doing just that.

Didn't read the thread but CTRs only apply to cash. This has some practical implications for avoiding them while still using a player's card.

I am sorry, but I can't imagine any Attorney agreeing to go to some message board, create an account, and post verifying something for a group of people on an internet forum, even if being paid. :confused: MrV and regnis can weigh in. Maybe I am wrong. maybe there are some that will do anything for the money. probably are I guess. But it isn't the attorney that handled my situation and I probably would steer clear of an attorney that I saw do something like that.

Again, it all boils down to that I don't think you and others here understand what an internet forum is.
