I have two questions:

1) Is there really such a thing as "Veterans' Day Weekend?" As far as holiday weekends go, this one seems lame. I truly do not know and am asking. Do people really stretch Veterans Day on a Thursday into a holiday weekend? I think this is in that half-holiday-weekend twilight zone. If "Veterans' Day Weekend" is rigged, then you may as well say all weekends are rigged.

2) Referring back to (1) above, why play on weekends, then? May as well just shoot staples into your head for fun.

If you know anything at all about advantage slots then you know every play is not a winner. You are playing an advantage but it is not guaranteed that you will win on each individual play. But if your advantage is good the winning plays will outrun the losing plays and you show a profit.

People question the likelihood of ZenKing's rigged-on-holiday-weekends perceptions versus randomness. I don't really have a problem if ZenKing wants to posit that certain level tables in certain properties at certain times are rigged. That seems halfway reasonable to me.

What doesn't seem reasonable is why ZenKing would continue to play in those situations unless he is using a camera-in-hat or something to record everything so he could put together a 60 Minutes-worthy expose. And if you were doing that, why blab about the riggedness of it all on internet forums when your eventual expose will nail the evildoers? You derive no advantage from advertising that you know the tables are rigged.

First Veteran's Day doesn't qualify as a holiday weekend as far as the Las Vegas casinos and the bigger crowds (mainly from California) that come on traditional 3 day holiday weekends. Zenking just experience some negative variance on or about Veteran's Day and as usual is looking to blame it on something other than what it really is...variance and part of blackjack card counting.

Despite his several years of experience now in Las Vegas and whatever experience he had back east, Zenking just has never learned and understood the variance that is involved with card counting. There are negative runs and periods, sometimes long...lasting 10's of thousands of rounds, which can be weeks or even months, and sometimes severe, gobbling up a portion of your bankroll and/or winnings from previous play. That is just the way card counting works. This is why a large bankroll is needed. The variance and negative runs are much greater than other forms of advantage play.

He should have learned and be able to deal with this variance by now, but a contributing factor is that despite that we measure experience in years, it doesn't appear he has ever really been a real fulltime player in terms of amount of play. He seems to put in minimal hours. So his seemingly years of experience probably equates to far less.

I don't know how or when these continuing tirades end. He either will someday learn and understand the variance, or he will decide this game is not for him. But that will come on his terms. Right now he is beyond listening to anyone that might actually know how the game works.
