We were pretty cheap dates this time around, but still, food daily was average $150. (partly because sometimes we just got food from places that took cash only no room charge, such as off-property). So that's another $1800.

Total comps would be in the neighborhood then of $10,600. if I am estimating the room price correctly (based on rack rate). That's a good 30% of my theoretical loss, more than 30% actually. That's a very solid comp, especially considering that I won, and more than I expected actually. I was actually a little surprised that both resorts comp'ed all spa services - didn't even need to ask actually.

Maybe they are trying hard to reel in the high rollers right now.


Compare this to that stay a couple years ago, not at this resort but another one that is probably not even quite as top tier, but definitely up there, where after we stayed two weeks the host refused to pick up about $800. as I recall in remaining food and spa, after comp'ing the suite and most of the food. Host said, "NOBODY stays two weeks at the ______." (That two year or so ago trip ended up winning a fair amount though, so maybe host was looking at that, but the win shouldn't matter, the theo loss should.) Yet this trip, I got the impression that the host would have let us stay even longer. I mean, whenever I asked for another three days I kept wording it in terms of "If you don't mind...." and the response was so easy going that I understood it to mean that we could have stayed longer.

I guess if I could help it, it might be better to book as least nights as possible and have it extended as needed. As I should definitely have enough play to qualify. It's not like I get a great room either, i'm not rich. I just get standard rooms, my only preference is a low floor near the elevator. I don't want to walk as much :D

Casinos don't assume high rollers don't want mail. In fact, quite the opposite. They assume they want to have offers thrown at them and the mail is just one form of doing that.

Your combined claims (you always have winning trips at negative ev games while hosts compliment you for never losing, don't question it and invite you back while somehow not giving you any freeplay (which you mistakenly think is only to help compensate losing players) points to the distinct possibility that every claim you have made regarding casino trips is a paid for Vacation on your own dime.

It probably makes sense since at one point you were so proud of being comped free ketchup bottles

One can’t give a clinic when they don’t need, accept or ask for them. When you win at will on negative games and tip thousands more, you can’t be bothered with such minor details.

When the host comps incidentals that were charged to the room, do the charges show up in the debit column on your folio by date, with the host's corresponding credit to cover the charges posted on the bottom of the folio at the end of the stay?

Or do the room charges that were comped not even show up on the folio?

Last I heard, this is how it works:

If you check into the hotel, you are in the system for 2 days of play, regardless of how much you actually play. The timing of the play doesn't matter (if you do it right when you check in, during the middle, etc). If you check in, run play to rack up $4000 worth of theo, and check out after 1 or 2 nights, your ADT is $2000.

If you do not check into the hotel, you are only in the system for each day you show up there. However, if you come on consecutive days, it counts as one "trip", as if you had stayed there. I am not sure how it works if you aren't staying there, show up on one day, and then show up again 2 days later.

Regarding the play times, this only matters if you aren't staying there. If you're staying there, it's a 2-day minimum trip, and the number of days beyond that matches how many days your hotel is booked. If you aren't staying there, I believe it does track it by Caesars day, which usually begins around 6am. So if you show up at 5am, play 2 hours, and quit, it might track you as 2 days. Maybe they have a mechanism to stop that from happening, but I wouldn't chance it.

Also be aware that they utilize something called Marketing Daily Value (MDV), which is your ADT minus any comps redeemed (food, rooms, freeplay, etc). They base your comps on MDV, not ADT, in most cases. However, there's more complexities which go into it, and I won't discuss those out here.

Additionally, do NOT swipe your card for anything if you're not staying there and you aren't playing that day. That will count as a trip. That means don't swipe it for parking, RCs at the restaurants, gift shop, etc, unless you're either playing a lot, staying there, or don't care about your ADT. Actually not a bad idea to get someone else's card for the parking, in the case you're going to visit without playing sometimes (if you care about your ADT).

Some of this might be different now, given the weird state of Vegas at the moment.

This is in-line with most of what I knew and believed.

What's new to me is the Consecutive days counting as one trip. I think thats what Stations treats me so well, Many times I visit 2-3 days in a row without staying at all.

So as far as swiping the card for parking, I also think it triggers a gaming day. But FABismonte replied on a different topic of mine, saying that it Doesn't (for Caesars at least)

I said I was going to go to Vegas in the next month or so, park at Harrahs, not play at all and go straight to the Mirage. Let's see what happens. My ADT is already atrocious because I mostly just milk them for the hotel stay, which I elaborate more on the other topic here:

Hopefully more people will reply regarding the topic like you did Dan, instead of hitting each other in the head with a plastic hammer, which, for the record is amusing but I don't know the history between you all.

If your ADT is already atrocious, then using them for parking and not playing won't answer anything. My ADT is also atrocious in the Vegas Caesars market, so I also don't care about being tripped.

I'm not 100% sure if the parking counts. I don't like to do anything to indicate I'm on property, even if I'm told it doesn't count. You get a million different answers from Caesars employees, and none are reliable.

Consecutive days counting as one trip doesn't matter too much if you're not staying on property. Yes, a trip of $100 theo followed by $9900 theo the next day is different than a 2-day trip with $10000 Theo, but it's still averaging to $5000 per day.

As I said, Caesars is more into the MDV calculation. Basically they're asking themselves, "After all is said and done, how much money can we expect to make from this person per day?"

BTW, I have found that the "reset period" is somewhere between 18-24 months. That is, if you don't set foot on any Caesars property (or if you at least never swipe your card or indicate you're there), it somewhat forgets about your past history and you can start semi-fresh. This isn't as good as a new card, of course, but it's a good way to restart offers after they've gone cold. This may not work in 2020-2021, though.
