Some of you wonder if Rob simply put $20,000 in the machine and hit this in 40 plays. I don't know if that's the case. Sure it's possible but it's also possible he had other wins along the way which gave him more than 40 plays.
When I hit my $21,000 royal at Sam's Town I started the session with only $300 in the $5/coin machine, but I hit straights and two pair and even one non W2G quad before I hit the royal. In fact I played for some time on that original $300. See the photos below because they show more than $300 in credits when I hit this royal about two years ago.
Also I checked Google to see if this photo of Rob's appeared elsewhere on the Internet and I couldn't find it.
I posted W2Gs of some of my royals here because the usual suspects doubted me. Even Dan doubted me when I hit two royals at Caesars in one weekend. Fortunately Dan was at Caesars at the same time and we met while we were having dinner separately at Nobu. I showed him the W2Gs and then he believed me.
But it's a shame that the AP club just doesn't believe that you don't have to be an AP to hit big wins... you just have to be lucky.
And yes even APs need luck otherwise they wouldn't have long losing periods while playing with their "edge."
Thank you Alan. While the others look for a way to come to grips with this win, to a real player like you it's just what sometimes happens when you actually play.
No I wasn't playing any strategy--I did just what I said. I heard about this machine from a LV friend so I took a quick drive up and threw $20k at the play with a $3000 stop win goal. And that's exactly what I did, inasmuch as the envious fools will find a way to spin even that. You can imagine how quickly I thought of irritating these armchair AP's.
What I enjoy most about doing this is how it draws each of the jealous haters out of the woodwork to voice their displeasure, disbelief, and conspiracy theories about how anything I rub in their faces just can't be possible! You see how spock is now an confused expert on 1990's era digital cameras (I'll train him on them if he can get me out of his small head and really wants to understand the code that controls the time/date function on the higher end ones--that "education" thing again), mickey suddenly understands the ins and outs of filing as a professional gambler, redietz is driven to make even more claims he "can't locate" on the web, kew believes he's actually the picture of health, RS__ wants everyone to think he knows what $20k looks like, and jbjb--even when he doesn't say it, he does--expects -EV players to put it all back in and more, while +EV players just don't know how to do that type of thing.
Now I gotta go fill up my diesel tank. We're running a few hours behind and it was worth it to check the level of bewilderment here. It's like a dream come true.....
