Hopefully, the audience will ultimately tire of the glitz and hype, and seek journalistic substance over style. Good luck. Technology once served to advance true journalism, now it provides only distraction and detraction. While there is certainly a case to be made for the death of true journalism, it was certainly not caused by technology, but by greed. It is also highly unlikely that technological advancements will ever serve to resurrect true journalism for credible mass consumption. "citizen journalists" armed with iphones posting on youtube?
