I had a lucky night Saturday night. took $2K and played $5 bonus poker, hit quad 2's for $2K so I'm up by 1K at this point. I go play some slots and hit the 9K. then go to play 10 hand, and get dealt 4 to a royal. came home $11768 up :-)

Resurrecting this thread. I hadn't played VP since Vegas in January. But after a tough meeting with our friend IRS where I got my ass kicked (client owes about a million in taxes), I played for 1 hour and 15 minutes. No pictures cause I didn't want to answer calls.

2 royals; quad aces, deuces, threes, fours, 7's and kings. I was playing ultimate x 3 way for one royal and the deuces. No multiplier on either.

I was playing 3-way super triple play for the others. No "kickers" on the aces, 3's or 4's.

Both royals were on KQJ hold.

Most fun I've had in VP in years. And I hit (repeatedly) and ran.

P.S.---worst paytables in the area. But the cards were popping.

Just to be clear...you hit 2 royals and 6 quads in 75 minutes?

Six quads in 75 minutes is not unusual. While two royals is on the unusual side it's very believable. I hit two royals about six hands apart... but there were about 14 hours between the two royals.

Yes coach. And to be clear, I almost never win at VP. This was really an oddity for me.

The joy was short lived as the 45 minute ride home took 2and1/2 hours in that great Friday traffic (non rush hour).

Playing 600 rounds per hour (each round has 3 hands), he'd have played 600*3*1.35 hands = 2250 hands. You get a 4oak every 425'ish hands. His expectation was 5 4oaks, he got 6. If you play enough, you'll see some weird things happen. Hitting 2 royals in 2k hands is obviously not normal, but it isn't something unbelievable. A few weeks ago I was playing Super Hand (you get dealt 3 hands, and it automatically gives you the best starting hand). I hit 2 RF's within 3 or 4 rounds (I think it was 4). I figure 4 rounds on that game is similar to 36 single-hand plays (actually, fewer than 36).

    I meant 1.25, not 1.35.

Haven't hit too many but, I hit this a few months ago. I was playing on a day off from work screwing around in the pit. I got down about 700 and decided to play some slots. I proceeded to the high limit room at our Casino and caught lightning on a monopoly machine. Won back more than the 700 then hit this. Hasn't happened since.

    Nice.

    What's 3x3x3x pay?

you were only betting one coin on a 5 line machine ? thats bold.. my luck all the hits would be on the other lines..
    JustaDiamind is now justa-seven-star..

  14. #1874
Yep. The sevens count no matter where they hit so the bonus isn't that hard to hit. You are right about the line hit though. Very unusual. I was going up and down on the bet.

    Outstanding win, Jaysunjm!

There is one Boardwalk Sevens slot at $5 denomination at Morongo High Limit and a half dozen of them at Pechanga at $1 denomination on the main floor, the two local Southern California casinos I go to.

    For the 3x 3x 3x payout:

If you bet 1 to 4 lines, it is a 20000 for 1 payout instead of $20,000. Thus in your case it is actually $100,000 at $5 denomination.

If you bet all five lines, you will win the state wide area progressive jackpot.

You might want to reconsider that statement. You are thinking that these slots have physical reels when in reality they don't. While there might be, for example, 36 symbols or stop positions on the physical reels, the RNG and the program have in fact millions of stop positions, and getting three 7s in any position is not so simple, nor is this jackpot easy to hit.

Congratulations because you got very lucky!!!

Alpax are you sure it's a state wide area progressive? I think the Morongo progressives are tied into an Indian casino progressive which covers multiple states.

  17. #1877
I forgot about that, you are correct Alan. It is Nevada that has its own statewide progressive.

The progressive in itself is much more incentive to play all 5 lines although the chances are slim.

As far as I can tell my machine isn't connected to a progressive jackpot. And I certainly wasn't saying it's easy to hit a jackpot like the one I did. I was just saying playing only 1 credit the golden 7's count on any line. That makes it easier to get the bonus game. Rather than having the gold 7's be on the 1 payline.

Recently Cindy & I decided to go up to SF to see the Red Sox play 2 games at AT&T Park this week, so we put our travel plans to S. Dakota and other destinations on hold until next week. Good move.

We drove straight up there, but on the way back (yesterday) I booked a night at South Point to get a break and some rest before going back to Az. Good idea.

We went to dinner at their surprisingly good Mexican restaurant--Baja Miguels--which I of course haven't been to yet. It seems they've opened in the past 5 years, and I don't believe I've been in the casino during that time. Afterwards, Cindy wanted to get upstairs to refresh and sleep, so I decided to play some and sit at the far right machine at the bar at the base of the mezzanine stairway (Miguels is on the 2nd floor there) nearby the main casino floor restaurants, to play some ARTT 25c thru $2 (remember I said $2 was my limit from now on?). And because I play very seldom these days--once every 3 months, if that) I had no win limit, and my loss limit was the amount of cash left in my wallet (about $1600). The other limiter was time--I did not want to play more than 2 hours. But a machine in a hot cycle will--and should--change that when there's no win limit.

I began right around 6:30. At 7pm I hit a sequential Royal For $8000 on DDBP. drawing the 10 in spot #1. It took a long 20 minutes to get paid. No tip of course. About 9pm I hit another 1-card draw for a royal, again in spades. Same game within the ARTT strategy--$2 DDBP (9/6 version for all you Advantage-Playing teeny weeny % worriers out there). The bartender and a lot of patrons began taking notice as they watched the two handpays. I watched the Sharks beat down the Penguins. Again no tip, but the pay came within 10 minutes.

I think less than 20 minutes later on my 3rd game of ARTT the same game ($2 DDBP) served up four Aces with a 4 kicker for $4000 more. Now people in the crowd started coming over to chat some. Remember, I'm not simply playing $2 DDBP only. I'm playing 25c thru $2 BP first, then I go onto $2 DDBP if I fail to attain at least an overall $100 profit in the BP portion of the strategy. This time the handpay took a bit longer, because a suit came out to talk to me. I was going to quit right then and there, but he "motivated" me to play one more ARTT session. And of course, this one ended with $2 Royal #3 for the evening. This time I chose to switch over to DBP (9/7/5), but it didn't matter. Same result.

After the final handpay, I talked with some others who had a bunch of comments and questions. No one here will like this, but 2 of them came by and said I had to be the greatest vp player of all time. I told them I was. One of them asked me if I was Dancer. When I told him who I was he said he was only joking.

I'm not endorsing playing DDBP UNLESS it's the only game available, because SDBP and TBP+ are far superior games. Oh I almost forgot: I can thank my good friend Spock for all this. I actually followed thru on his post about the free night at SP, since I get so few offers from LV any more due to a lack of play for the better part of 5 years. (Dan, fear not--they did not charge me the $14 resort fee with the comp). My final tally was a net profit of over $25,000. The wins totally destroyed my reasoning for not playing higher than $2 any more. But I should have known better. After all, I AM the best player ever.

This all happened within a span of about 3.5 to 4 hours. I can see the time stamps on my pictures WHICH I TOOK WITH AN HTC ONE AND NOT MY OLD DIGITAL CAMERA this time, but I'm sure the whiners will still try to make it look like this never happened. Either way, it was a great night after a great trip to SF for 4 days.
