I expect a lot more than I'm getting. I'm upset with Caesars and several months ago when they cut my offers -- and a marketing manager called me -- I hung up on him when he tried to tell me I was getting all I was worth.

During the weekend I added about 50,000 tier points. 10,000 tier points came from "bonuses" and the 40,000 of "earned tier points" represents about $400,000 of coin-in with a combination coming from craps and video poker.

Then maybe you will get more. But if you aren't happy with the offers, just make sure they know that and actually stay away next time....and tell them you're going to give your action to the MGM. See what happens.

MGM Grand is the casino that got angry with me when I won too much money at craps. NYNY is the MGM-owned casino that took the dice away from me when I was winning too much money. Bellagio is the MGM-owned casino that told me to leave the craps table because I was too good of a shooter. Yeah... I'm going back to MGM real soon. LOL

The only reason I went to Caesars this past weekend is that I was able to take advantage of two offers simultaneously. Usually it's only one offer per visit. But I was able to combine the free tickets to Celine with a 7Stars Shopping Experience... and I knew another royal was coming, too. (LOL)

My third royal flush of 2013... Thursday evening at Harrah's Rincon when I went to claim my $450 of free play. I lost the $450 playing $2 Aces and Faces so I put $40 into the 25-cent 8/5 Double Double Bonus progressive. Yes, all of the double double bonus games at Rincon are now 8/5 and so are the Jacks or Better games: all 8/5.

Holding two cards, I got the royal in hearts.

Edited to add: I should mention that I played for a couple of hours on this machine before I hit the royal. I got quad 4s three times, quad 3s once, but no kickers. About a half hour before I hit my royal, another royal was hit two seats from me. All of the seats at this progressive bank were filled. After the hand pay I cashed out the remaining $250 on the game. They did ask me to "play it off" and I got a pair of kings that returned my bet.

Just another case Alan of playing a negative EV machine THAT'S SUPPOSED TO LOSE -- and winning! But you know, it happened last evening, but because of a measley percent or two, don't ever think it can happen again....or again, and again and again. That's just not how it's supposed to be! And you do know that every hand you played actually COST you money, right? You didn't really win anything and don't pay the wife tax, because over time, the math will just come by and snatch it all back with interest anyway

Tiresome. You all know this proves & means absolutely nothing. Rob, good to see you found just enough time to light the fire again.

I'm very pleased you see the stupidity in yet another AP lie which I was mocking.

Of course it can (and will happen) "again and again and again". The problem is the losses will also happen and eat away all those wins the vast majority of the time. This is well established probability theory. The math is the math. Only a fool argues with proven math.

Arc, what's ironic is that everything you say is what I say when discussing craps. I say it's a negative expectation game that can't be beaten UNLESS there is some way to change the random nature of dice with dice influencing or dice control. I doubt that anyone really has true "dice influence" or "dice control."

Yet, while I say the same thing about math and craps, I look at video poker differently. It's not that I challenge the math because I don't. I just know that if you happen to get enough big winners (royals, quads, straight flushes) you can do better than what the math says you should.

My royal last night wasn't at $5 video poker. But it was on a 25-cent game with $40 in, and it paid slightly more than a thousand dollars. In dollars and cents that thousand dollars certainly makes you wonder if a little luck can go a long way in coming out ahead of what the math says should happen.

After years of no Royals got third in a week. This one on a 50 cent ultimate x with a 4x multiple for $8,000. Now that I am finally getting royals, the aces have all but disappeared.

Wow, funny you say that... I havent had quad aces since my second $5 royal at Caesars and that's been about 7 sessions. I haven't even had trip aces dealt to me. And you know that I usually play Aces and Faces... well... I haven't had quad Jacks, Queens or Kings either since my $5 royal at Caesars.

We've been over this a thousand times. Yes, one person will be luckier than another person. They will end up at different places on the bell curve. That's why there's a curve and not a vertical line. However, the problem facing all of us is we cannot control our luck. That's what random means. You really want win goals and loss limits to somehow have an influence on luck. They don't, sorry. Try flipping a coin and recording your results. See what happens if you set win goals and loss limits. This is not rocket science, it is well established mathematical principles.

Since we cannot control luck it makes absolutely no sense to even discuss it when talking about a future plan. That is, what you should do when you go on your next trip to a casino. The only things we can control is the strategy we use, the games we play and the amount we play. Yeah, reality sucks.

I haven't had quad aces in quite awhile either. Of course, they only pay 75 credits on OEJs. Even so it must be a big conspiracy where those evil VP machines get together and taunt players.

I don't know if this counts as a big win or jackpot, but I have some on Wichita State to win the NCAA at 200-1 from the LVHilton and some offshore at 500-1.

It breaks my heart, but I am laying -600 with Louisville to make sure I make some money. I cannot see the Shockers winning the game, but stranger things have happened -- not often, though.

It almost came thru. I didn't like that jump ball call in the last 30 seconds that automatically handed the ball to Louisville. Seemed way too quick for the final minute of play, considering every tie-up earlier was given the chance and time to play out. It's almost like Louisville HAD to be in Monday night's game, given all the hype about Ware.

Red-a little double hedge--take the points with Wichita and the money line with Louis. Too bad you didn't get the outright win tho.

Have you ever heard of the Siena Hotel/Casino in Reno? Well, I think I've seen it titled on a few vpFree posts I've skipped over without reading, but other than flipping thru TV channels and maybe seeing something about it, I've really never thought twice about the place. But the other night a friend from my vptruth.com days was in Reno and asked if I could come over to Harrahs to give him some of my expert advice on how to play and win.

I did, he had his lesson (happily winning $120 in the process) and afterwards he wanted to take me for a snack and drink along the River Walk. Why? Because he had some coupon for the Siena (and it's in that District although I've never known) that gave him and a friend $15 each for slot card sign-up. So after our chat along the river and a drink we went there, and he said I could play his freeplay along with mine. I was in a hurry because I needed to get back, so I picked the closest machine to play dollars, only it didn't have BP so I picked 9/6 DDBP.

Hand #1 was a dealt four 5's. Not really picture-worthy, and my friend did something like Alan might do--he suggested I play down to $200 for some reason. OK. But with 230 credits still there and because it's been happening so frequently lately, here comes another Singer Special! (which I split the profits with my friend, even though I took the W2G). OK Spock, how's them "too frequent for being real" apples tasting? And arci, I guess the math really still does not apply to me, hey? I mean, if I had stayed there and put in my 7 long, boring, life-wasting hours, I might have hit expectation

I wish I was half as lucky as Rob. I don't want to get greedy!

Here we are again .... Singer gets crucified on another thread and magically another RF appears out of nowhere. The VP gods must feel sorry for him making a fool out of himself so often.

Translation: another direct hit, and another dose of arci-envy
