Thread: Big Casino Wins and Jackpots

You may have read more into it than intended.

I am not saying they EXPECT to win; I am saying they HOPE to win, and having seen others win (including themselves) only serves to help reinforce the notion.

Given the math involved those are false hopes, at least in the long run.
    What, Me Worry?

Regnis it seems to me that the concept of having fun escapes the APs. It's all work and a business to them.

If you want to be miserable at a business at least pick a business where the markups are bigger and benefits are included.

You need to take a break from anything and everything related to casinos including forums. You're not having fun anymore.

Ever pick up one of those brochures in the casino that's titled "When The Fun Stops"? That's you and Axel and jbjb and kewlj and a lot of other people. The fun has stopped. Get out.

Who's miserable? I love what I do. I'd HATE to be in your shoes.

Since I'm 66 now you wouldn't want to be in my shoes.

    MrV isn’t an AP.

If I didn't enjoy it, I would get out of out. This should apply to any other form of job or employment as well.

WTF kind of dope are you taking?

I gamble on average a couple times a month.

    Get a fucking clue.

Mr. Mendelson, might I remind you, who had an immediate family member come to this site and lambast YOU as a degenerate gambling addict. Telling us how your addiction interferes with you ability to pay your debts, but some how you still have money to gamble. Your own son told us all how your gambling addiction has strained family relationships, with him, your daughter, grandchildren and I am sure the numerous women in your life that don't stick around long.

He went on to tell us how you are broke most of the month which is why you post on websites 24/7, but come social security and pension day, you make a beeline for the casinos.

You have the audacity to suggest that anyone else has a gambling problem? Even if there was a shred of evidence to that statement, the hypocrisy of you, likely the biggest degenerative gambling addict on this site, suggesting it of someone else, just confirms your status as this sites biggest asshole and loser.

However there is zero evidence that suggests your accusations are anything but the rantings of a seriously disturbed and bitter old fool. AP's are not problem gamblers....well not a problem for anyone but the casino industry. AP's are the complete opposite of yourself and other degenerative gambling addicts. We are in control at all times, extremely disciplined and know what we are doing at all times. Oh and one other difference... we win! And of course that continues to be the root of all your bullshit hate and bitterness towards AP's.

You really are a twisted, old, bitter, fuck.

    66 isn't old.

My dad just turned 92; now that's old.
    What, Me Worry?

Kewlj you're in total control. As long as you're collecting +EV losing thousands of dollars is perfectly okay.

One day I'll tell you the other side of the story... not.

  12. #3012
Sounds like Alan, with his failing business, is and has been jealous of APs for a while now. I mean, gambling for a living is kind of a sweet gig, and it sounds a million times better to the person who doesn’t know how it works than to someone who actually does it. It’s fun, to a degree, but it’s still work — still gotta put in the hours and it’s not always fun. To someone else who’s not an AP, they just think, “Wow you get to go to a casino, sit down at a slot machine, and make money! And that’s all you do? I wish I could do that. Please tell me which slot machine is good to play”, as if playing is all there is to it.

    So yeah, Alan’s jelly.

Please don't explain anything to me Alan, because you have no idea of any side of any story. I don't need someone that has no understanding of things trying to explain anything to me. You certainly have no clue about +EV or advantage play.

So here is another one that will blow your mind Alan. Yesterday was a 2 shift day for me. I have been putting in a lot of play over the past couple months. Both shifts were pretty decent winning shifts for a total of just $13,400. But you know what yesterday was really worth to me? $575 in EV (accumulated EV) that I collected for the day. The rest was just fluctuation or variance. Just the same as an $8500 losing day is really worth whatever EV I collect, not the negative fluctuation or variance that occurred. It is the accumulated EV that will matter at the end, not these single day meaningless monetary fluctuations.

So there you go....have fun with that one.

  14. #3014
    EV=abstract;

    Wins/Losses=concrete.

The latter is a function of the former, over time.

Yeah this one is really idiotic. Most of Alan's game playing agenda is idiotic but this takes the cake.

We are barely a week removed from 'the blow up' in which his own son comes to the site lambasting Alan as a degenerate gambling addict and how Alan's problem gambling has interfered with not only his ability to pay his debts, but has interfered with many of his personal relationships with family members, including grandchildren. Alan then has the balls to suggest that some of the AP's of this site have a gambling problem. These are people who apply mathematics and discipline to make a living from the casinos!

I have tried to give Alan the benefit of doubt, over and over and over, but no more. Alan is a degenerate gambling addict who is bitterly jealous of players that play with an advantage and actually make money. There is no daylight between Alan and Singer. They are both bitter, old, fuck degenerate gamblers angry as hell at those that actually make money through legitimate mathematically based advantage play. Both delusional. Both living in an alternative reality fantasy world.

How can someone with the name Money Man be the same person you are describing??

  18. #3018
I agree with KJ. The only person here where there is verifiable proof of someone having a gambling problem is Alan. He has verified the authenticity of the person posting as his son by not questioning his credentials as he stated.

So there we have it. For anyone else on this board we can just "suppose" that they are problem gamblers. But we have one that has been identified.

Whether he owes his son money or not can be questioned. But it seems alans gambling has been a destructive force for his family. And THAT is a major box that is checked off for problem gamblers.

So I dont think we are here to judge alan or mock him for fucking up his families. But if he is casting the first stone and pointing the finger at others ,,,,then the gloves can come off and all is fair.

Its funny. Things were dying down as far as his son's posted content and comments about it.....and now Alan himself reopens in a way that obviously would gain attention.

Mr V called him an attention whore.....well this brings his attention seeking to a sick level. He purposely re-draws attention to his sons posts by charging other posters of being problem gamblers. An obvious way to open the door back onto his own problem gambling that was exposed here a week or so ago.

Ya know, it's sort of funny.

Based on my years of viewing alan's posts I'd gotten the idea that he was quite solvent financially.

A long time career in journalism, a bit of fame, then his internet business after he got to be too old for TV: coupled to his ongoing posts about gambling in Caesars for amounts typically higher than minimum, this all led me to that belief.

Now based upon his son's expose' I find out that isn't so; what a disappointment.

Alan must not have any good real estate investments or else he'd be living in a house in So Cal, not an apt. in Las Vegas.

He's referred to having to pay alimony to at least one of his ex-wives: OK, but that excuse can only take him so far.

There seem to be no brokerage accounts, either: the complaints of his son about how his old man lives hand to mouth and paycheck to paycheck show that isn't so.

No, it seems he's pretty much broke as a joke.

    "Money talks, bullshit walks."

If this wannabe gambling god doesn't change his ways and damned soon I see Alpo in his future.

    *Arf!*

That's where you are wrong. We have fun winning, especially knowing we have an advantage while doing it. Then we have fun counting our winnings, it's even sweeter knowing you had an advantage. It's a great feeling when you are on a play where it's almost impossible to lose and on top of that you run way better than expected and or you hit some jackpots.

Yes, I still get happy when I get A jackpot or when I am winning. When I hit somthing, do I act like you did in that very embarrassing video? Hell no.

No, It's not that fun when you have a losing play/day/session but we have the piece of mind knowing we had value and things will work out eventually(sooner rather than later, depending on what kind of plays you go after), as long as we keep finding good +EV situations.

The worst part of AP is knowing there's always a chance the casino will fuck you somehow.
