Thread: Big Casino Wins and Jackpots

Congratulations Rob. But no special plays.

  2. #1882
Special plays are used much less often than optimal plays because the majority of deals don't require them. The strategy and all that surround it is based on common sense, which in the game of video poker holds more value than using math-only as a way of trying to win.

Where's arci when you need him? Right now I await the jealous fool coming on to claim "it's all lies, just like everything Singer says is lies, cause nobody realistically gets 3 royals on the same single line machine in that amount of time--just like none of his past claims were ever true" or "this is another of his self-portraits, wishing he could be like Dancer".

When you think about it for maybe two seconds, the amount I won last night from a machine that had nothing higher than $2, more probably than not constitutes more net profit than arci has ever lied about for himself. Not a difficult conclusion of course, given the completely embarrassing transcripts the confused idiot got hoodwinked into posting on the internet.

Nice hits! Some days, you just can't lose. Been there many times.

  4. #1884
jbjb, I'm sure lots of players would quickly chime in that on some days they just can't win also. The difference, I believe, is that over the years I've had an abundance of the winning days, and VERY few of the losing ones. I apparently just have not/cannot find the right words to properly & meaningfully explain the how and the why of this "aberration" to the general doubting public. And when I think about that happening, I just take a few looks at the piles of cash I have laying around, and the frustration passes.

I've seen the videos with you and Alan....apparently you don't spend your "piles of cash" on your wardrobe....I've seen several skid row winos with nicer clothes on lol

Apparently "Bill", this is a hard pill for you to swallow. And I like it.

  7. #1887
    Congrats.

Considering I have only hit 2 single line royals in my life, hitting 3 in a few hours seems almost impossible.

I think it depends on how much video poker you play. I've seen players at Rincon hit two royals within fifteen minutes. I also recall a lady at Morongo years ago who hit two royals just a couple of hands apart on two different machines. She was waiting for the pay on the first machine and hit the second.

If you play enough it happens.

I've had back-to-back royals on a quarter machine in my AP days. Nothing like this though. Did anyone notice the sequential? I haven't seen one of those in person in over 20 years when I hit one in Laughlin.

What, you like things that are difficult to swallow?...I'm not into that but I'll see if I know anyone that can accommodate you...You will have to clean yourself up and certainly wear some decent clothes

My favorite story about the clothes people wear at casinos:

I just walked up to a craps table at Caesars and an old, poor-looking, homeless-type guy is standing next to the dealer. He was wearing an old, dirty trench coat. He hadn't shaved in a couple of days. He was certainly disheveled. And he had a black ($100) chip on the passline. The shooter throws a come-out roll. I don't remember if it was a five or a six, but the old, poor-looking man, reached into his pocket and pulled out black chips for full odds and placed some more box numbers with black chips. And a come bet with a black chip. And on the next number he placed full odds with black chips. Need I continue? I think you get the point.

Bill's struggling with all this, so here's more. We rented an Avis intermediate car for the SF trip because you don't take a Hellcat thru the streets of San Francisco. But when we got to the counter all they had was a Kia Rio. Turned out to be the perfect car for all the jagged & bumpy streets and all the bridges with expansion joints etc. However "Bill", this little car just barely fit the $25,000+ in cash I took from the SP machine.

I believe you're being honest and thanks. Someone like spock's probably pulled the time stamps off of my pictures and is banging his head against the wall. And you KNOW arci's speechless while he tries to come up with something negative about this. Eddie is pretending it didn't happen, and this whole episode likely put poor mickey into TILT MODE as he continues to pretend those Laughlin 25c flush attack machines REALLY put out. But the biggest MIA is Dan. After all the effort I put in to let a load off his mind by explaining how there is no $14 resort fee on the SP promotional free night---you'd think it would be the biggest day of the year for him....

    Recap -

Rob Singer posts proof of an INCREDIBLE session: 3 single-line royals in less than 1500 hands.

Forum be like, oh that happens to me all the time, nbd.

    Congratulations Rob

When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

    Sherlock Holmes

One can relate this quote to Rob's summary any way one feels appropriate, depending on what one feels is impossible versus improbable.

I mention, in passing, that I once hit three single line royals in a few hundred hands in one day. It was a sad, funny story highlighting my stupidity that I related elsewhere and will not repeat. Thus, what Rob said he did is certainly possible.

If I recall, one of those royals, redietz, was played with one coin in?

People get lucky. Big multiple wins happen. Just this morning Jason and I were talking again about big wins in short periods of time. I asked him for his 5 W2Gs showing the single line $4,000 royals he hit in 24 hours at Caesars and Gold Strike. When he digs them out I am going to post photos. I hope someone will share them over at the WOV forum.

LOL -- two of them, Alan. It hurts me to repeat the story, but the first and third. I was killing time earning promos with my card in at the Palms (waiting for the book to open) and at Palace Station waiting for the Jumbo Jackpot to hit. Hard to hit three royals and walk away thinking it was a cursed day, but I managed to do it.

On a three way dollar game on Super Pay, I was leaving and had only 11 dollars left on the game. Yes--I could have added 7 dollars for a full spin. This game doesn't let you play 1 or 2 lines at full pay. It makes you go 3 lines at whatever coin in that results. But I didn't. I got three to a royal and drew the royal on 2 lines. And this is when I was on a 15 year royal drought so I figured I'd never get one again.

My only 1 credit royal came from running $5 free play through at Riviera a bunch of years ago.
