In the back of your mind you said to yourself that if the world ends on 12/21/12 there would be certain things you wouldn't have to do. Perhaps you put off doing those things just in case. Well, now that the world did not get swallowed up by a big solar flare, or the world did not fall into a black hole that raced through our solar system, or the world did not spin out of orbit and into the Sun, here are some things you might have to do right now:
1. Pay those bills including the car bill, the insurance bill, the mortgage or rent, the bill for the kids' braces.
2. Finish that report for work or for school and turn it in.
3. Finish your year-end finances.
4. Put out the trash, do the dishes, and get the house ready for Christmas.
5. Make your New Year's Eve reservations.
6. Finish your Christmas shopping. Fortunately you have the weekend and some stores will be open around the clock.
7. Make plans for your summer vacation.
8. Finish your kid's college application.
9. Pay for that eBay auction you won.
10. Cover up all evidence of that "end of the world fling" or "end of the world sex affair" at the office.
