I just found out from a manager at one of the Caesars casinos about the new tier points required for Diamond and 7Stars in 2013. And the tier points needed are higher than previously reported by another website, and complicating the matter is that there were will be three different levels for Diamond players.

Let's start with Diamond which currently needs 11,000 tier points. According to the manager, starting in 2013 there will be three different levels of Diamond with the lowest level at 15,000 points, and the next highest level at 40,000 points and the highest Diamond level will need 80,000 points. The manager said there will still be just one kind of Diamond card, but offers and comps will be based on the three Diamond levels.

Curiously, Harrah's Rincon has had a system where Diamond players with more points were awarded special "Diamond" cards. But the manager told me the new system for the Caesars properties will not be like the Harrah's Rincon system. I don't know if the Harrah's Rincon system of different cards for the different level of Diamond players will continue in 2013.

For 7Stars, the current requirement is 100,000 points, but in 2013 that will increase to 150,000 according to the manager.

The manager also believes that the points required for Platinum will also increase, but he wasn't sure. He said casino personnel are now being briefed about the new tier point levels. Platinum currently requires 4,000 points.

Gold level is automatic, and does not require any tier points.

At Harrah's Rincon I was told that an official announcement will be made on the Caesars / Total Rewards website probably on January 1st.
