Thread: New 7 star benefits for cet

  1. #1
For those of you that got the mailer from CET

It said that they are adding a second annual getaway with a footer that states

"Offered as a Level 1 Signature Experience. Available once a guest hits 150K Tier Credits and Seven Stars status is achieved"

My dilemma is - Right now a Level 1 Signature Experience is only available at 5 properties and does not include airfare or $500 dining credit like the Annual Getaway. Will the second annual getaway only be like the Level 1 Experience or will it be like the Annual Getaway with airfare and food credit?

Also it states for every hotel stay = they are suppose to offer a confirmable upgrade to the best room available. When does this start?

I was in New Orleans this week and there were several diamond couples (low diamond) in the diamond lounge that got much better rooms than we did and it was their first time there - (my fifth in 2 years) My host at NOLA booked it several months ago and asked for a suite upgrade.

Good question about the extra level one event. These things won't start till April first from what I've been told.
As far as discrepencies among comps given to players -- this happens a lot. And it's happened to me many times. A lower level player will get greater amounts of free play or more shopping dollars. All you can do is complain to your host.

Caesars Palace has cut my offers by so much that it doesnt pay for me to go there.

By the way, over the past several years I never took a 7 Stars Experience because they are something that are of no interest to me. I have no interest in going to sports events in the mid west, or going to dinners or taking golf lessons.

My tier score for 2012 was above a half million which allows me to take advantage of several different "experiences" and frankly the only one that was attractive was the $500 Forum Shops shopping spree and my regular offers from Caesars are for $850 -- so why would I accept a lower offer?

I've also never used the "annual trip" and I still have the $500 annual dinner to use this year -- and for the last three years I've been trying to hook up with a forum member from LVA who I owe a Vegas dinner and I want to use it for that meeting.

Out of frustration I once asked my host to give me an alternative to a 7 Stars Experience such as a few hundred bucks of free play which would be worth more to me than going to hockey or basketball game.

But if I had enough points to get the $10,000 entry to the World Series of Poker main event I would take that -- but alas I am not even close to getting a WSOP entry even with a half million tier points.

    I agree with you.

However, when I took my signature level 1 experience last year at Tunica it included 1500 airfare, 4 suite tickets at Fedex Forum (which we used to watch the Mavericks game), 4 memphis grizzlies stuff, wine cellar dinner, and more but for this year there is no airfare included- no wine cellar - only 2 suite tickets to game and no souvenir stuff.
That is why I wonder if that second annual getaway (which is Level 1 experience) includes airfare. Most hosts can't tell you anything.

When you talk about Caesars Palace, are you referring to Las Vegas. They give me nada. Every other property I visit- from NOLA, Bossier City, Tunica, Lake Tahoe, Reno, and even Paris Las Vegas- they at least send me an amenity package or stock my frig in the room - not CP -

Did your host give you an alternative?

I made about 50K points at Lake Tahoe last year - so I already get the comp tickets to almost everything. There are also block commercial flights comped once a month from an airport close to me -so the Level 1 is not worth much plus it is for July 4 and the experience must be took by June 30.

We have some friends that are taking there annual getaway to Rincon. Any advice?

I never stayed at Rincon, just made day (or night) trips there, but I never heard a complaint. It's a nice secluded area but actually just a 90 minute drive or less to Disneyland, other resorts, LA, San Diego, etc.

The only thing Rincon lacks is restaurants. The Fiore steak house is, in my opinion, the greatest. The 24 hour restaurant has surprisingly excellent food -- salmon is delicious. I haven't been to the buffet since they gave it a makeover but even before the makeover it was very good.

By the way a limited amount of play each day gets you a free buffet pass or $20 food comp. Rincon is supposed to have a very nice pool area, but its near 32 degrees there right now in the mountains.

And no, my host did not get me an alternative to any "experiences" which is an "experience" in and of itself. LOL

I have stayed at Rincon quite a few times and I really enjoy the casino and surrounding area. If you are staying for more than two nights I would definitely suggest checking out the surrounding casinos, possibly the San Diego Wild Animal Park, the town of Julian, and even head down to downtown San Diego. You are in a prime location in terms of accessing Orange County, LA County, and San Diego County.

    Alan,

How do you redeem points for gas cards? Also, how do you arrange transportation from LAS to the hotels?

At Rincon they actually sell gas cards -- ask the cashier. You can pay with your "comp dollars" from your players card. $200 of comp dollars buys a $100 gas card. At Caesars and other Total Rewards desks you can order from the Total Rewards desk but these are usually mailed out. At Rincon they have them right there which is convenient because a new Shell station recently opened right out front of the property. There are also ARCO gas cards and several ARCO stations nearby, too.

When I used to fly to Veags, I would have my host set up a limo. I think the charge was $35 and I paid for it with comps. I think limos will now be free. The Total Rewards mailer says a new 7 Stars benefit is "VIP transportation to and from the airport" and I can't imagine that isn't a limo.
