Thread: WMS "My Poker"

  1. #1
I had not seen this before today but apparently Williams has a new system out called "My Poker". There are multiple games available, both the basic games as well as "feature games", and you can customize the game and have a profile online that keeps track of your scores and preferences. I don't remember where I came across it but one of their pages has a live feed that was showing things like "Bubba2454 hit 4 Deuces at Foxwoods", "JordiL hit 4 Aces at Harrah's".

Some of the options include background color, card style, even how they are shown when dealt; low to high, high to low, or by suit.

You can read more about it at this link, and near the top their is a "play poker" button and you can give it a try.

    Ceasar's
has a few, and from what I read Station's are due to get them soon.

I'm really not quite sure what to think of this yet, but I did find it interesting and thought others might as well.

Thank you for posting. This is very intriguing and I like the customization feature. Adjusting the size of cards and colors will be very helpful for the aging demographic that many casinos now see.

I am curious about the actual game set up/machine/cabinet? Caesars a few months ago introduced new video poker game tops in the "small dome" room of the Palace Casino and the new cabinets have this big screen with big cards but unfortunately the screens are vertical and not as comfortable as the "slant tops" that we are all familiar with. As a result, I have to sit further back from the machine and sitting at the vertical screen is not as comfortable and it takes a toll on my back and neck.

While I am all for customizing screens, I am more concerned with comfortable seating and comfortable positioning of the screen and keys.

All other things, including seating, being equal, I would have to assume this would help lower error rates. Any thoughts?

It depends on the cause of the error. Do you have trouble reading the cards, or does fatigue make your eyes blurry and makes you not make the right decision? Usually the error I make is that I don't hit the keys properly and don't hold a card I wanted to hold. This only happened twice -- once without any consequence but once I missed quads when I missed one of the three queens dealt to me. A bigger or brighter display wouldn't have mattered in that case. But I wonder if you could customize something about the pressure that must be used to make the keys "hold" or is that opening a can of worms?

At least one person who has played it for real agrees writing on the Player's Life forum:

Love the "easy deal" feature cuz I can get my deal cards in hi-to-low order and can better see my pairs. I think I make fewer mistakes.

I'd guess the Wizard will look at this at some point in the not too distant future, so if anyone see's something please post a link. I wonder how the "winning streak" and "no risk double up" feature games rate.

I also didn't see anything about the "bonus royals" game but it appears to be some form of progressive. If anyone see's anything about that please post it.

In another thread Rob Singer talked about the Triple Triple Bonus game with a 10/6 pay table and a payback of over 100%.
Wizard of Odds shows a 7/5 pay table: http://wizardofodds.com/games/video-...-triple-bonus/
I found the game offered for sale on an IGT Game King machine on this website but could not view the paytable: http://www.slotmachinesusa.com/sales...%20GAME%20KING

The Foxwoods Casino lists the game as being offered, but I don't know what the pay table is.

Caesars.com is promoting the My Poker WMS system on its website and if you log in with your Total Rewards account you can see and play the game and on the Caesars website the game is 10/6. Ironically, in the past, the Caesars site has had all sorts of full-pay games while you won't actually find those games at Caesars Palace or at some of its casinos. A photo of the pay table from the Caesars website is below. If you are a TR member then you should log in and check out the game.

If anyone knows where the game is offered at a casino with the actual 10/6 pay table that Rob is talking about, please let us know.

Every additional credit for FHs and flushes raises the return around 1%. The 10/6 version should be a minimum of 4% higher than the 7/5 version I linked to. That will make it a positive game. When I have some time I will run the numbers.

Yes that's the exact paytable I saw. It was at the Bonanza casino in Reno. They have a nice restaurant but the casino is nothing special. If they know what they're doing then the game shouldn't last. But who knows--there's only two that I saw and not a lot of traffic in there.

Rob are you still in Reno? I just called and a manager told me they dont have Triple Triple bonus. They do have Triple Double Bonus on IGT. They do not have WMS poker yet, but he told me they get the new machines when they do come in. Of course, the manager could be wrong.

We're in Minden, about 45 miles from Reno. They do have the game I mentioned. I'll snap a shot the next time we go over there. It's been about once every 4-6 weeks because Tahoe is a lot prettier & closer. The manager might not know the game is on the menu or even that the WMS games are in yet. Hard to tell. I'm going to call my friend Dave, the slot director at the Peppermill who I would trust knows his games, and ask him if he has them in yet and what paytable they are. If anyplace up here has games first, it's them. And since the rinky dink Bonanza has them, the Peppermill must.

There is an article at http://www.vegasinc.com about how Stations is dropping a number of 100% or better machines, and near the bottom of the article a section on their new MyPoker games.
