Thread: Question for Rob Regarding Dancer

  1. #1
In his last article, Dancer says he was up 250K in 2000 at the MGM. Now that was the year that fueled his Million Dollar Video Poker book. It seems that if he won a million that year, with the bulk of it at MGM, then he must have lost a good chunk of it back to the MGM to wind up +250K.

Doesn't this jive with what you had previously mentioned about him losing half of his winnings back to the MGM? After finishing the book, you are left thinking he wound up plus a million, but clearly he didn't, so this comment by him would seem to suggest you were correct. The loss of half of the winnings somehow didn't make the final edit.

And I notice in this article he refers to "his wife" and him winning. But he wasn't actually married at the time, correct?

When you read what he's currently writing, you'll see a re-write of history that was, in it's own right, inconsistent at best. Yes, Shirley and he were just recently married before he started playing the special-for-locals-only promotion at MGM on the $25 job machine, and subsequently after hitting a $100k royal--the $100 job game. He now also says he won $250k at the MGM during this period, while for some reason the casino won/lost statement says a loss of $400k. Is he coming....or going?

Then there's the $1million claim. Who knows, because as you said, there HAD to be a much bigger chunk won at the MGM, where his biggest wins came from. At least that's the drift I got from his book. Now, it doesn't add up, just as his answer to me on vpFree didn't make sense when he said he played, and lost $400k, at the MGM a year earlier when his book and his column both say the promotion was the first ever time he played vp there.

I'll bet Curt Flowers believes him
