I find it very ironic that a lot of the TV news stories about the government sequester -- government activities being cut because of the budget and tax stalemate in Congress -- are using video of the new $100 bills being printed.
Ironically, the new $100 bills are not in circulation and no release date has been set for the new $100s to be introduced into the economy.
Remember, we are supposed to get six-months advanced notice before the first of the new one-hundred dollar bills are released for use.
There is a danger in having the new $100 bills show up in TV news reports now about the sequester -- because some people might think that the new bills are already in circulation. They are not. So if someone gives you a funny looking hundred dollar bill and tells you it is the "new currency" don't believe them.
