Bought a Royal Flush

I finally got that Royal earlier this week, albeit wasted on quarters. Today, I'm talking to the lady next to me and she gets A,K,J,10,5 of spades on a 3-way dollar game. She holds them all and I say wait--aren't you gonna go for the Royal. She says no--she needs the 75 bullets. So I say I'll give you 80--I'll buy the hand cause I want to go for the Royal.

She takes the 80--I draw 1 Royal. Now she tries to claim my $4,000. Luckily, there were other players who saw and heard the transaction and the Casino gave me the Royal.

I love stories like that. I once offered to "buy" a dealt flush from a player next to me who also had four to the royal. But after I reached for my wallet to give him the cash ($225) he decided to keep the hand and make the draw. He missed.
