Many have them Alan. And then, what in the world makes you want to believe that the casino business is any more ethical than the prostitution business, which is "against the law" in Clark County?
Bwah haha haha haha ... most states have laws, like open meeting laws, that prevent these kind of activities. Only a real nut-job believes this kind of nonsense. Oh wait ... we're talking the same guy who doesn't believe in mathematical proofs. I think nut-job is a little too kind.

Oh wait! I forgot to bid adieu to the resident neurotic who hasn't figured out that a Government is a BUSINESS....and to wish he and Olive Oil a great summer of sitting around doing NOTHING!!

    How's that go again.....bwahahahbwahahaha?

    Knock knock...Squeak squeak.

Many of the casinos here in Southern California have about 2,000 "machines" each, and I would guess that about 20% are video poker machines. That would be about 400 VP machines in each casino. If 99.99% of them are "OK" and random then there would be .01% chance of being on a rogue VP game. I'm not sure I have this correct, but .01% of 400 is... well it's not even one machine.

I just don't see it as much of a risk although I would concede it is possible that a machine might have a glitch. And if the glitch rate is .01% I'm really not going to worry about it.

I go back and forth on whether VP or any other game is legit. I can say that I trusted the mob more than corporate America in operating the casinos. I don't trust government or corporate America in any way in any area. The mob understood the house edge and did everything they could to keep you playing. You never had to wait extended time for payouts or repairs, and they would always hand you some more coins when they came. Now, the casinos seem to do everything but keep you playing. They have lost sight of the benefits of more and faster play. Alan you have surely noticed how long between rolls in craps now. it used to be way faster.

Keep in mind that a glitch can favor the player just as well as the casino.
