Father's Day is coming up which means barbeques and burgers and steaks. But let's stick to burgers for this. What is the best way to serve a burger? What do you put on the burger or in the burger or around the burger?

How many layers, how much, how little, how do you do it?

I'm afraid I'm not the one to offer anything crazy or outlandish. I like my burgers barbequed over a flame on the medium well side, charred just a little for that special taste. I want a couple of slices of cheese and pickles and mustard -- no ketchup. I want my bun grilled as well with the grill lines seared into the bun. If you can put some bacon on the grill and add that -- perfect. And if you prepare your own patties, then grill some bacon first and work bits of cooked bacon into the patty before you put it on the flame.
