I think this is worthy of discussion.

I know that at Caesars, where I play craps the most, rolls might take longer because there is no longer a boxman and dealers and a floorman do what a boxman used to do with buyins and cashouts and that forces a delay of the game. We all know that boxmen were eliminated in a cost cutting move, yet it delays a game in which the casino has an edge on every roll. So you have to wonder if the casinos are making money or delaying money with this tactic?

Some casinos still have boxmen. What about where you play? And does the speed of the game, or the lack of speed, make a difference to you?

Some might argue that since craps is a negative expectation that the longer the rolls take the less money you will lose.

There is also the superstition (or belief, depending on your point of view) that a delay in the game can interrupt and stop a "hot roll" and cause a 7-out.

On the other hand, the longer you are at the table because of these delays, the better your rating for comps.
