Thread: The Undeniable Truth Continues On....

Once again we see that Singer cannot backup his claims. He mouths off about some mythical conversations and when pressed he cannot support his claims. Talk about a total loser. When someone has to make up things this silly you know they don't have much going for them upstairs.

Over the past few years I've been sent invitations to enter VP and blackjack tournaments that require an entry fee. While the prize pools are fairly generous with small prizes going down deep into the entry list, I just don't see the point of paying to play what amount to two short sessions lasting maybe 15 or 20 minutes each.

It really depends on whether it would fit in your schedule and what EV would be. Sometimes the tournaments are positive EV because they are put on to get people into the casino and losing a little money is considered a reasonable marketing trade-off.

I have to chuckle -- sometimes the free vp tournaments have a really, really old demography, so I'm going to play 30-40% more hands than many of the players, although there are always one or two people who are speed demon whizzes. If the paid tournaments have similar demographies, and the only way to find out is to sign up for a few, then believe me, Alan, you'd do fine and it's positive EV.

As I mentioned I only played in one VP tournament and I found that all age groups are represented.

And redietz... at 61 I am no longer a youngster.

Just limber up your fingers and go pedal-to-the-metal for 15 minutes. You'll do fine.

Ya know, redietz, when I play video poker I play slowly and have to put a lot of concentration into the game. If my concentration lapses even for a moment I drift off into young sexual fantasy.

Well, Alan, it's good to know you've abandoned SPS and taken up my denomination-changing suggestion --- if the cocktail waitress has a big chest, you go up in denomination. If the next one has a smaller chest, you go down. If it's the same cocktail waitress, you stay at the same denomination but tip her twice as much (Rob hates that).

Oh ok. No fee tournament,I see. No brainer. Is it possible to figure the edge in a paid tourny? I suppose it would depend on strictly the number of entries, yes?

How about progressives? Would that be regular play?

Well, I've never followed SPS and I still don't know what it is. As far as changing denominations? No. I play one denomination until I hit enough winners to move up to the next denomination. At Rincon I always start out at $2. Then I move up if I hit enough winners. Oooh.... Rob hates that. He says to do the opposite.

As far as the cocktail waitresses go.... I hope this doesn't sound rude but when they approach me for a drink order I don't even look up to make eye contact with them to say "no." I have found over the years that when I break my concentration I make errors on holds. It's not the cocktail waitresses' fault... it's my fault. And like I said, if I don't keep my concentration at 100% on the game I drift off into.... Well, seriously I have made errors because I took a few seconds to make eye contact with a waitress or casino worker who stopped by to say hello and screwed up some big hands. I am so tempted to tape a sign to my machine that says "no drinks, working."

You guys are all showing your age. Have you seen what the cocktail waitresses look like these days? Not like years ago in Vegas when there were standards. Particularly here in Chicago, they are stuffing 5 lbs of sausage into a 2 lb bag.

Youngsters!! Regnis, you're probably one of those kids who thinks the Miami Heat are one of history's greatest teams -- let me tell you something.

"Showtime" is about performance, not how you look in the uniforms!
