Thread: I was suspended from the Wizard of Vegas Forum

  1. #1
I was suspended from the Wizard of Vegas forum for three days for a personal insult. I am guilty but I just couldn't hold it in anymore. The target of my insult deserved it. He lied.

Well, don't be shy. What did he lie about?

That place reminds me of every cloistered, parochial Ph.D.-wannabe hangout I have seen online. A bunch of guys who think they're bright hang out and tell each other how much smarter they are than the average joe. Don't kid yourselves -- real academics don't sound like that or act like that.

    Good for you Alan!

There is a guy there by the name of Ahigh who has made various claims that he is an expert dice controller and shooter, yet his videos posted online show absolutely no evidence of dice control. They bounce all over the place.

I have made several attempts to meet up with him to see his throws in person and for various reasons we failed to meet.

But several months ago when I knew I was going to be in Vegas I invited him and his wife to be my guests at dinner at Caesars. He said he couldn't make it. Okay, no problem.

But a couple of days later he makes a post on the WOV forum talking about how I had bad luck when I was throwing at Caesars. How did he know? That's when I remembered there was a guy standing at my table with a notebook charting my throws. About the same time, I saw his picture and I realized this Ahigh guy was the guy at my table. Imagine that -- I invite him to dinner, he says he can't make it, yet he shows up at my table charting my throws!

When I wrote that on the WOV forum he denied it was him, but said it was a FRIEND of his who was charting me. And where was Ahigh? Well, he was at another table at Caesars at the same time.

So I asked him, why didn't you come over to introduce yourself and say hello? And he said and this is a quote from the WOV forum:

If my friend would have been willing to, I would have. I did suggest it to my friend. He just said, and I quote, "no I don't want to meet Alan Mendelson" and then he chuckled, and I think he shook his head.
If you can't infer it, let me tell you, he dislikes you a great deal.

    To which I responded:

This makes me chuckle. Your friend dislikes me? I never met your friend. Furthermore, you and I at the time were talking via the phone... several times. And I had invited you and your wife to have dinner with me at Caesars. So, despite our conversations and my invitation, when YOUR FRIEND (?) said he didn't want to meet me, that made you not come over to introduce yourself?

Really Ahigh? Is that what happened?

Your friend who never met me said he didn't want to meet me, but you who was supposed to have dinner with me that night, listened to your friend and that's why you didn't introduce yourself?

That is quite a tale, Aaron. You are an asshole. (Sorry moderator, I just can't keep it in.)

The target you refer to is one odd duck.

I was on that site last night around 2 when that took effect. I wondered about your post ---- if it was any different than the others but I guess there are words and ways of using them that are off limits.

I think you said nothing wrong, maybe the wrong word choice since as far as meaning, a lot worse gets by.

That guy takes the cake for being "out of touch".

Well Alan, sometimes the truth hurts. That guy is an asshole. We don't always agree and we've had our fair share of arguments but whenever you're in Vegas at the same time as I, you are invited to join me and my wife for dinner. And I know I'm an asshole at times but honesty goes a long way.....

Vegas_lover I would be honored to have dinner with you and your wife. Let me know when.

That's not the place for you Alan, don't go back. If you do you'll look like a controlled little schoolboy that doesn't get the hint that the moderator has all the power the stiffs and slugs do who work at the DMV. Go on vacation....take your wife somewhere that doesn't have gambling or forum access and enjoy how most people spend their time off. Your son can handle the business while you're away for 3 weeks.

Work permitting, we're aiming at March 2014. We had planned to leave for Vegas today but unfortunately we've been so busy at our company that I had to cancel this trip. Having a busy enterprise in a time of world wide economic crisis is more important than a Vegas trip at this point.

Vegas_lover give me a couple of weeks notice. Rob Singer: ironically it was my first time back there in months. I lost interest in that forum. I primarily went there to discuss craps and dice influencing and the discussions ran out of steam and new info. So I was bored by the redundancy. I don't have any interest in about 98% of what goes on there.

Alan-did he have any form to his throw--any consistency? Was the table too bouncy for any control anyway? Just curious if he at least showed some form or not. Backhand spin?? Underhand medium arc? what type of throw did he use. Does he claim to have taken Scoblete's class?

  12. #12
Don't miss the point....Who in their right mind (except someone really young) would post 3 years of pure delirium on the internet, for all to see permanently (including bosses, future bosses, wives and future wives, family, etc)? Nevermind, I think I answered my own question.

This guy provides entertainment wherever he is and I'm sure it's a real toss up to ban him from a casino or not. Only when he affects other patrons will he get banned so he probably should shoot alone.

You called it right on, Alan.

No idea if he had any form to his throw. He would never show videos of his throw, just how they hit the table and there was no style at all or even any consistency as to how they landed on the table, nor any attempt to control the throw. However, when he was asked about the wild way the dice landed he defended it as being his style.

"style"----like jjj had a "method". I've seen guys that haven't had a good roll for 30 years but they still throw the way they had during that 1 good roll 30 years ago. Style my tuchus.

Well, it looks like they don't want me back on the WofV forum because my "three day suspension" is now into its 4th day.

  16. #16
If you get back on there, one conversation-stopper would be to ask the resident geniuses how many of them actually win gambling. Then ask for proof.

Or share a like to this thread. That will get them all worked up for sure

It looks like they don't want me back .... permanently. Even my access to messaging the Wizard and the moderators has been blocked. Today is the fifth day of my three day suspension. LOL

  19. #19
Today is the sixth day of my "three days suspension" and I even sent in a "contact us" message and there has been no response.

Maybe you should take the Groucho Marx approach and tell them " I DON’T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT ME AS A MEMBER."
