Once when I was being waved through I actually stopped, put my window down, and asked the inspector "what are you looking for?" We had a brief conversation about the various pests that were "in season." (By the way, there was no traffic to delay.)

And now a serious question: what are those "monuments" on the northbound side of the 15 near that inspection station. These "monuments" are large religious symbols. I've often wanted to stop on the shoulder and walk over but for one reason or another I haven't.

I don't remember the monuments, so clue me in on the location. I do remember the metal dinosaurs near a diner around there that surprised me. Have to stop at that diner sometime.

The monuments are on the northbound side of the I-15 opposite the fruit inspection station which is on the southbound side.
