I remember one night at Hollywood Park Casino about 6 or 7 years ago, when there were three bad beat jackpots paid within a half hour. But the requirement then was Aces Full losing to quads or better. And that was during the glory days of Hollywood Park when the casino was packed every night.
And about the "rake" for the bad beat jackpot: what many players don't know is that the casino can take out a "fee" for administration. I think at some casinos they take 50% of the rake as their fee.
