Thread: Things are moving at the Rincon casino

  1. #1
Things are moving at the Rincon casino -- literally. There has been a shift in where some table games are located -- and that's not a problem, of course. And except for the video poker machines in the high limit area and in the no-smoking area, all of the other video poker machines are now crammed into the "video poker room" and the area just outside of it and that is a problem. The video poker room area is now the most crowded and congested part of the casino. There is very little space between the rows of machines and be ready to be bumped by passersby and other players moving through the area.

What's also being moved are the machines to scan your Total Rewards cards for various promotions and offers.

The machines to scan your card for the meal vouchers are now conveniently located in front of the restaurants and buffet on the casino floor. Previously these were at the Total Rewards desk and you had to cross the casino sometimes to get your voucher and then get to the restaurants. Now you can print your vouchers as you walk into to Fiore and the buffet and the 24 hour restaurant and the others. This was an excellent move.

The machines to scan your cards for other promotions such as free play and extra points have been moved to the promotions desk near the bus center doors and the garage elevators. This is also a good move because it makes it easy to park your car or get off the bus, walk into the casino, get your card swiped and move on.

Didn't they close down some restaurants too to move around?

I'm not really up to speed on the restaurants there. I've been to the buffet, and to Fiore and to the 24 hour restaurant, but not the others. There are some new eateries by the new pool area. The "coffee bar" with snacks in the casino has been closed but there is a temporary coffee/snack stand by Total Rewards.

Thank you Alan. He was getting on my 80 year old nerves.
