It seems that during the last couple of years the number of violent crimes on the Strip has grown rapidly. I might be mistaking but it seems the Strip is getting less and less safe. Your thoughts please...

The Strip is no different than any other place where people gather and is subject to the changing ways of the world: Idiots used to use their fists in angry encounters or simply exchanged heated words. Now they carry guns to accomplish both.

Well I guess liberal gun laws aren't helping this situation either. Nevertheless, it's a tradegy that people get killed over somthing this futile.

Yes, it's a tragedy, but I see the shooter was mad because they wouldn't refund his $30 cover charge after deciding not to stay at the club. Why didn't he set a $30 win goal at one of Bally's Bonus Poker machines to make up for the loss before leaving, instead? He'll have a whole lifetime to think about that....

I don't think the Strip is safe at all -- outside. We should be safe inside the hotels and casinos, but we have those risks no matter where we go whether it's school, work or a shopping mall.

The LV Strip is a magnet for punks, thugs, and people being "too cool" to follow rules. And those nightclubs with their super-stupid "D-J's are only meant for these types. Anyone else who goes isn't thinking.

Only once I went to a club -- Studio 54 at the MGM years ago (I think that's what it was?) -- as part of a family get together weekend with about 30 others. About a half hour was enough for me.

I think the most dangerous spots to be in Vegas are on the pedestrian bridges that go over the Strip.
