Thread: Support the new $500 bill, and tell Treasury to reissue the $1,000 and issue a $200

With inflation, the 100 Euro note is worth close to $200 US$, and the 200 Euro note is worth close the $500 US$, and the 500 Euro note is worth close to $1,000 US$, we should have U.S. $200, $500, and $1,000 Federal Reserve notes to compete, and keep up with the times. Think about it. Back on July 14, 1969, when the Treasury quit issuing the $500, $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000 Federal Reserve notes, a $100 note was worth what a $1,000 note would be worth today. Frankly, we could really use the $5,000 and $10,000 bills reissued, along with a newly issued $2,000 note, due to the fact that you could spend two or even three or more $10,000 notes on a brand new pick-up truck, or even hundreds of thousands of dollars on new RVs, houses, jewelry etc. And also, with inflation, the $2,000, $5,000 and $10,000 notes have become the new $200, $500, and $1,000 notes, these days, as well.

Its time to bring back the $500 and $1,000 Federal Reserve notes and issue a $200 Federal Reserve note as well.

Thanks for posting, but outside of a casino, who would want to carry anything "bigger" than a $100 bill?

Why, someone who wants to buy a used a RV, boat, truck, car etc. or brand new appliance or electronic from a store while using cash. I prefer cash over cards and checks, and I think private sellers of motor vehicles, RVs and boats would agree. Plus $100, and not even $500, is that much money these days. I live at home with my parents currently, and am almost 33 years old (will be on the 29th of this month) and my mother has bad knee and bback issues, so we go to the stores together a lot so I can help her. And we would easily spend most, if not all of a $200 bill at a time. And around the holidays, a $500 and/or $1,000 bill would be good to have around for holiday shopping.
