So the gist of what people were posting is people playing at CET properties will get worse video poker options after the new year?

  3. #3
Alan already informed us that "At Caesars Palace there is no reason for me to play video poker there anymore. Full pay Bonus is only available at $5 and higher and while I play $5 games, it's now $25 per tier credit".
Now it may be $50.00 per credit at Harrahs AC...
    Should we say "Goodbye"to CET???
Or shall we call for a strike -all casino players decide not to go to CET properties ....just for one day????

I am at Caesars in LV now and they downgraded video poker in the Forum casino to paytables that are less than in the Palace casino.

But he still goes, he still plays, and CET still owns him. So if this is the example being set, how in the world can anyone do anything about it.

Rob are you ill? I am here to pick up $3300 of merchandise at the GGWU. I didn't play any crap video poker. Or.... are you suggesting I don't pick up the gas cards and other goodies?

Over the years, how much has all the junk you've accumulated from these GGWU's cost you? Sure go ahead and get some more, but there's no way you just walk by all those machines without coming up with excuses to play some. In other words, the only possible way for ANY 7-Stars member who obviously plays at least a million thru every year to correct such a situation of control, is to cut ties cold turkey--not via the "just this one last event and I'll be gone" or "when I get home I'll never go again....regardless of all those lucrative-sounding offers of freeplay & gift cards they send me". CET knows that, and they also know these "gift giveaways" continue to cement the player relationship. How is it you do not see this?

Always reassuring, Robbie continuing to sound like a broken record. Reminds me of the Four Tops song titled: "It's the same old song".

Cut ties Rob? Had a great time playing craps, dining and catching up on movies. No charge for 7stars. Can't wait for New Years and Katy Perry.

    Rob,

Unless Alan is losing his shirt and on the verge of bankruptcy, what's the problem? He has said repeatedly that he plays with discretionary dollars for entertainment. If he can afford it, what's the problem?

I for one enjoy reading about his trips. He's the only 7 stars member (other than "sionow" on Las Vegas Advisor) that shares his adventures.

I have the same problem with how he delivers some of his experiences as I've always written about in my books and my columns about other similar characters over the years. As a kind of "role model"--which he probably is to some due to his site ownership and overall resume'--people do try to emulate such personalities. His financial status is irrelevant for what I'm talking about. Others are at risk--that's all it is, and it is not what the haters want it to be. Why can't he simply talk about how getting to 7-Stars status takes a bunch of money, sometimes nerves of steel, and an acute addiction to the TR slot card & the VP machines? It would be honest, because if anyone of his readers thinks CET is just GIVING away money, free-play, or gifts, they would be terribly wrong. And that is what leads others astray. I have spent this part of my life trying to help players do better and enjoy the game more. Watching people haphazardly crow about a program that is masterful in taking people's money in trade for artificial recovery goes against my philosophy.

I believe his aversion to and fear of the word "addict" is driving his inability to express what he does in a truthful format. Fact is, without any doubt, he absolutely does have a gambling action problem....as I had for 6-1/2 years and probably even when I felt I had it all under control when I was a pro. If he could just state that then people might actually understand that all this "free stuff" he and other 7-Stars talk about really costs many times the value, and they would have been far better off purchasing the things and not pouring tens of thousands into the poker machines. It's all about truthful disclosure.

Rob it doesn't take a lot of money to make 7stars playing 8/5 Bonus or Aces and Faces. In fact with the new bonus system it takes only a couple thou and if you get a little lucky it is easy to make higher 7stars levels.

You pretty much speak from ignorance and you are motivated by your arrogance, jealousy and personal bankruptcy. Frankly you should have shut up and quit when you had me on your side.

You not only lost "it" but you lost me. Now I also doubt your claims: with all your big wins you only made Diamond? Ridiculous. "Grandmas from Tunica make Diamond." No offense towards the Grandmas.
