Thread: Craps at Flamingo

For the first time, I played craps at the Flamingo. I played during "semi peak times" when the tables were $10 minimum. And that's as high as they go at the Flamingo. In "slow periods" the minimum is sometimes only $5. 3X, 4X, 5X odds -- which is normal for the Strip, and the Fire Bet is available. The dealers I found were very friendly and not pretentious and easy going. The tables were medium length, the surfaces were not padded to the point that the dice would bounce all over or out, and the environment was not too smokey. What more could you want?

I played at the Flamingo three times over the weekend, at three different tables with different crews. And my experience was the same.

Now, at the same time there were also $10 tables across the street at Caesars Palace and I think Caesars has the greatest craps pit crew in the business. But there is nothing to fault the Flamingo dealers for either. They made an effort to know your name, and to call you by name and to help new players understand the game.

And at the Flamingo you will find more "new players" and more "low budget players" which means new players and lower budget players will not feel intimidated.

Often when you play at Caesars where big money is thrown around, new players and low budget players can easily feel intimidated.

To be honest, I would be very happy to play again at the Flamingo. But there is one caveat: if I am staying somewhere else and want to play at the Flamingo I would be careful either to drive there and valet my car, or take a Taxi there, or walk there only during the daytime hours... because even in the daytime the pedestrian bridge that crosses Las Vegas Blvd is crowded with panhandlers or people who just stand there as if they are looking for trouble.

been gambling and Cappin' NFL for 39 years...playing craps about 15 years now...I have had some monster legendary rolls. Once on vaca in AC I played 8 to 12 hours every day and back then they were comping me $9.50 and hour and I won 15 days in a row. One pit boss at the Borgata said my boss told me to follow you around and said no one wins at 6 diff casinos 15 days in a row at craps playing as long as you are. Ha ha ...loved it...I was good and lucky and had a new system for pressing my bets up...aggressivecraps.com...worked great...Ritchie Ambrose from Brooklyn NY was now living in Vegas and gave private lessons...I bought and printed his system online for $20 ..and I won over $5000 the 2nd time I used it on a roll that lasted abour 1 hour and 17 mins..a few old guys at table made over 80,000 just on my roll...I asked for a free room and the pit boss said sure if u leave the table now...well it was my birthday , a Saturday and the place was packed...this was in 05' before the economic downturn/ressession.

Thanks for joining and for posting phillyfranko. Of course the only way to win big at craps is to press when hitting numbers and making passes. I think the biggest mistake players make is not pressing once they have won back their initial outlay on a shooter.

Make sure none of those "knockout" thugs await you up there.
