Thread: 7 star Level 1 retreat

  1. #1
I am hoping that someone can help me. Alan, I know that you don't take your 7 star getaways (retreats) but maybe you or someone that has a host that is experienced in 7 star players can help.

If I understand correctly, - once you earn/retain 7 star status for the year ending Dec. 31- you start getting the benefits (annual gift, cruise, trip, dinner, etc) on April 1 of the next year through March 31st of the following year.

As I see it - I earn/retain my 7 star status for 2013 (having until Dec 31 to achieve). Starting April 1 - 2014 through March 31, 2015 - I start getting all the perks ie: celebration gift, 500 celebration dinner, cruise, annual retreat, etc. from earning/retaining my 7 star status.

I was 7 star in 2012. So starting April 1, 2013 - thru March 31, 2014 = I get the benefits of 7 star. I took my 7 star trip in Sept this year (for earnings of 2012) and the gift on April 7 and all other benfits from my 2012 earning.

Now - new this year is the Level 1 experience which states that once you get 150k tier credits - you automatically qualify for a 2nd annual retreat - (***must take benefit retreat first and have until June 30, 2014 to redeem)

Question - does this mean the benefits from your 2012 status - or does it mean you have to take your 2013 annual retreat first (starting apr 1, 2014) before you can take the Level 1 second retreat and only have until June to take this?

I have been on the phone all frigging day with Total Rewards, Casino Services, Marketing, Hosts in Vegas, Tahoe, Reno, etc. and lots of different answers. They first tell me that the trip I took in Sept was my 2013 trip then when I explain to them about the April 1 - March 31st thing - they agree. Then I ask them about the Level 1 - do I have to wait until after April 1 to take my 2013 trip and then book Level 1 - they have no clue???????

So confusing --- any one know??????

I hoped I explained this right.

As soon as you earn the tier levels for the 7 Star experiences you can claim them. You do not have to wait until the following year to claim them. As soon as you reach 150,000 tier points you can take your Level 1. As soon as you reach 200,000 points you can take your level 2, and so on.

In the case of the Level 1 experience, if you earned 150,000 points in 2013 the rules state you must use your Level 1 experience by June 30, 2014.

In some cases they will let you take in 2013 what you earned in 2012. You have to ask. For example, in 2013 I used both Level 2 Forum Shop shopping events from 2013 and 2012.

    Todd,

Why don't you chime in on the 7 star process?
Oh I forgot you're a bullshit member. All your preaching
about being honest and fair is a load of crap.

I am a little confused about your question, sassycat.

Yes, if you "renew" Seven Stars in 2013 (that is, earn 150k tiers in 2013), you are eligible for an ADDITIONAL annual retreat.

This does NOT include the annual retreat that you will get anyway, which you can start taking on April 1, 2014.

So right now you've qualified for 3 annual retreats:

    1) The one you already took in September

    2) Another one you can take between now and June 30, 2014

    3) Another one you can take between April 1, 2014 and March 31, 2015

How am I a bullshit member?

How am I not honest or fair?

Did you create this account just to troll me and Alan?

    Who are you?

    Thanks Dan-

That is kind of the way I see it but- the when it says that I must take my annual benefit first before I can take my Level 1 retreat - it almost sounds like I must take my 2013 retreat from getting 7 star (which I thought was available starting April 1, 2014) before I can take the Level 1 (which was to be taken by June 30).

The retreat I took in October was actually for earning 7 star in 2012 but some of the people I talked to said that was for my 2013 trip.

No, once you earn Seven Stars, you are IMMEDIATELY entitled to ALL of the benefits during both the current calendar year, as well as benefits for the next calendar year.

I made Seven Stars in August 2012. I took my annual trip in October 2012 to Atlantic City. I have not yet renewed my Seven Stars for 2014, but have an upcoming annual trip.

I think I understand the confusion.

They are saying that you have to take your FIRST Seven Stars annual trip before you redeem the second one. Obvious, right? Not quite. I believe they're restricting this so you don't do them concurrently. That is, they don't want you flying to Lake Tahoe, doing your annual trip there, and then going directly from there to San Diego and redeeming your second trip. I think they want you to take two separate trips. At least that's what I'm getting from their "restrictions".

But yes, you do earn a SECOND 2013 (expiring 6/30/2014) retreat if you renew Seven Stars. This was a new benefit added for 2013. It has always been the case that you can immediately take a second trip after April 1, if you have renewed Seven Stars for that year. By the current system, it looks like you could take THREE trips in a short period of time if you renew Seven Stars (two for this year, one for next year).

The one thing I don't understand is the High Diamond trip. If you earn High Diamond (80k tiers), do you also get the $750 trip? What if you hit Seven Stars after that? You now have an additional $750 airfare trip on top of your Seven Stars stuff? So if that's included, you could take FOUR trips within a short time.

It's so hard to get answers from Total Rewards, because nobody understands anything over there.

I checked the IP addresses and none of the IP addresses have been shared or used by both.

Even though I was already 7 stars this year (renewing for the past couple of years) - once I reached 80K tier this year - I did qualify and take my trip with $750 airfare earlier this summer.
