I am going to guess that the machine number on one of those is 3116 which is the machine I like to play because of the mix of games on it.

I was at Rincon tonight for the magic show. Great time and great show. Luckily our seats were in the third row on the aisle next to center so we could see the magic close up. Others had to watch the big TV screens.

Yes I played in the new VP area and I found #3116 and got quad aces for $400. Left with $300 cash from $280 of free play. At my peak had $525 on the meter.

The old video poker area is now the no smoking gaming... unfortunately you have to walk through the smoke filled casino to get to it. Pechanga's non smoking area is right by the front doors.

I added a photo that I took last night. Most of the machines now are the new Game Kings with the reduced pay tables. There are still a few of the older Game Kings with the full pay Bonus and Aces and Faces games. I didn't have time to search for the old "round top" machine that had 9/6 Double Double Bonus as one of its choices, but I am going to guess that if it is not there, then it was moved around in the no smoking area.

The No Smoking area still has a couple of 8/5 Bonus machines which I saw. But the two remaining Aces and Faces on the Game Kings are in the new video poker area in the row with the older round tops. Of course it wouldn't surprise me if that row of round tops with the better paytables is next to go.

Hope you didn't get sick there, Alan.

I caught something bad at Rincon which kicked off a nightmarish health ordeal that I'm still suffering through:

I read your report, Dan and sorry you became ill after your visit there. My friend and I ate in the Cafe and about six hours later we had a little "rumble" in our tummies but we wouldn't call it "illness." It was very minor. And frankly I wouldn't have given it a second thought had you not reported your illness. We figured we just weren't accustomed to the sauce on the salmon (which was delicious, by the way).

The reality is casinos are dirty places. Everybody touches everything and heaven knows where those fingers were before they touched the chips or the buttons or the dice or the cards or the table tops or the money or the display screens or....

Wash your hands frequently in casinos -- ANY and ALL casinos -- and don't put your hands near your face.
