I know, but I only had time to bet at one place on one day because I procrastinated. It kills me to have missed that game by a point. I was hoping NO would go for two again but I understand why they didn't.

3-1 with even more casino $$ in my pocket. Missed going 4-0 by a lousy 1/2 pt. Take that, Singer haters!

Rob, since I previously mentioned that I liked all of your selections, let me take this moment to bitch about you not going 4-0. You should have won them all. I suspect you are a bit shopping-sloppy because you have your classic "I don't care if it's Negative EV" mentality. You want to do that with video poker? Fine. For sports betting, you shop, you try to figure out where lines are going, and then you shop some more. I was rooting for you, and it kills me when a casino gets a break. You should have swept the bastards.

Your criticism is correct. But it hasn't anything to do with making a -EV play. Just as I haven't played vp in the weeks since hitting the big winner, I didn't shop for the best numbers because I didn't have the time. We're always doing something or going somewhere, and we want to get that stuff in while we're still blessed with good health.

That said, I am going to run in for two more bets on Sunday's games. I'm going with Seattle and NE. I know how hot SF is these days, but the Seahawks are just too much at home. I know how Denver looks at home too, but they hardly overwhelmed SD yesterday, and the NE running game is just too tough for the Bronco's pourous defense. And then there's Brady, who resides deep inside Peyton's head. If the run fails or the Pats get behind, that's the QB you want. Amazing how these two guys keep on going.

While you folks keep crying in your beer over CET's policies and just keep taking it as if you welcome punishment, I made my four bets for this weekend's two games....and they weren't at CET. I also tried to shop like redietz suggested. Each bet was for $200 this time.

Seattle -3.5 over SF. That's a no-brainer after studying how poorly SF played in Seattle this year (L 29-3) and they didn't really burn it up in SF when they won 19-17.

Sea/SF: UNDER 39. This is taking a chance, but neither game beat that number this year.

NE +6.5 over Denver. I actually expect the Patriots to win this game, and by at least 10 points. They've got the overall more complete game, and the pressure is really on Manning to win this one. If NE loses it won't be as big a deal given their collection of stars who are missing. But Peyton needs this for his legacy. He just CAN'T go 4-11 vs. his main career rival.

NE/Den: OVER 56. Come on, has there ever been an easier number to beat?

For all you Singer haters, start smiling....while you can. I went 1-3 yesterday, which means I lost about $420. Seeing that last weekend I won $425, to your horror I'm still ahead five bucks for the playoffs. Now I'm studying for the Super Bowl, where I'll make two $500 bets: one on Seattle to beat the spread, and an over/under bet.The rest of you? Keep piling up the points at CET. Just think of all those wonderful GGWU "end of the year getting even" freebies that await you!

I have a question for sports bettors at Caesars properties: what is the comp rate for sport bets, and do you get points for the GGWU for sports bets?

I know that live poker players at Caesars Palace, for example, get only $1 per hour in casino comps so I can't imagine that sports betting gets you anything significant at all.

Rob Singer: it seems to me that a player who finished a gambling session up $5 but also had some kind of points from CET would be way ahead of you at this point. And what I don't understand is why even when you win money you wouldn't also want the "points" which is like "icing on the cake"? You have to explain that... if you are a winner at gambling and you are so well disciplined, why wouldn't you also take the free extras?

After winning only $5 a free gas card in December (if you qualified for one) wouldn't be so bad, would it?

Who said I didn't use my card for points on every sports bet I made? At times I wonder if Alzheimer's might be taking over?

Since you used your players card, please tell us the casino and what you got for the bets?

Hyatt at Incline Village. I didn't ask about the points and why would anyone care? As Richard Sherman said, "it is what it is". I care about winning and losing money, not the nearly meaningless points. I accumulate money; losers accumulate points.

Rob, do the rest of us poor slobs a favor and answer a question for once. I don't even make sports bets: I just want to know what the friggin' comp rate is...if there is one? This question has nothing to do with your glorious picks or wins or anything. Do you know what the comp rate is or not?
