Thread: February offers at Rincon

  1. #1
Several mailers have come in for February 2014 at Harrah's Rincon. The basic offers are the same as in previous months, but there are a couple new twists.

    1. This actually started in January but now you can "gamble" on the free play or comp offers that you get Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You can "take" the offer that is guaranteed according to your mailer, of you can gamble for either doubling the amount or getting half the amount. During January I just took the basic amount each day and I am likely going to continue to do that again.

    2. On Thursday's there is a new promotion for a House Makeover which includes a guaranteed free play Bonus, plus you swipe your Total Rewards card for the free drawing and possible instant prizes ("bonus prize") including free play or gift cards to stores such as Macy's. In January they had a similar offer for a luxury vacation that included guaranteed free play and the "bonus prize" I got was $5 of slot play.

    3. I still get my weekly food credit which I've been using -- and when I can't spend all $100 because I usually go to the 24-hour "Cafe" for a $40 to $50 tab, I use the balance to pick up someone else's check too. Yes, it's okay to pick up one other check with your voucher they told me.

    4. I had a lot of play in December so my "bounce back" free play in February is more than usual.

    5. Every Sunday is another fre play promotion plus there are "bonus prizes" of "reward credits" (comp dollars) which can be converted into more free play or used at any of the Total Rewards properties. The bonus amounts vary, according to the mailr, between 1,000 and 50,000. 1,000 reward credits can be converted to $8 (eight dollars) of free play for a 7Stars player -- or it can cover a ten-dollar purchase in a gift shop or restaurant at a Total Rewards casino. But 50,000 Reward Credits is the equivalent of $500 in a gift shop or restaurant and for a 7 Stars player the conversion is worth $400 of free play.

    6. Every Friday is another promotion where you can win certain amounts of free play or Reward Credits. Friday is also the day that the weekly free play is available so combining these two offers makes for a nice one-two punch. And add on the free dining credit each week and it's three part winner.

Offers vary for different players, I found out, so if you get something different please let us know.

Right now, the best combination of offers I get including the one-time bounce back bonus gives me a total of $745 of free play plus a little more if I choose to convert comp dollars into free play.

First off, never play that "double your comp" game at Total Rewards. Your chance of winning is tiny, and you will lose almost every time. It is NOT a fair game, and they don't have to tell you the odds, since it's a promotion.

Anyway, my February offers are just like my January offers.

I have monthly offers for $60 spa credit and a bounceback play (haven't checked how much, but I think around $75).

I have a "free slot play" for an unknown amount that seems to re-offer itself every 3-6 days.

I have a weekly $60 free food offer.

The other stuff you talked about is property-wide and applies to everyone, right? I doubt it will get you much. As you saw, you only got $5 (lol) last time you tried to win the luxury vacation.

Tried to reach my host at Rincon but she doesn't work on Wednesday's so I went on their website and tried to book a room under my 7 Stars number for Saturday night. They want to charge me $379.99 for the one night. I used to be able to get a room comped there on any day if there was availability. Thought a complimentary room was part of the benefits of being 7 Stars as long as you book it 48 hours in advance. Has anyone else experienced the same issues?

$379.99 ... was that for a room or for the entire floor? That sounds nuts to me. I've never stayed there and while I've heard of 7 Stars being asked to post a room deposit on a credit card I have never heard of any 7 Stars being charged for a room. When is your host back... and did you try another host?

I personally would NEVER pay for a room for myself, though I have booked rooms for others and was charged a "casino rate" or discounted rate when I couldn't get an additional room fully comped.

My host never called me back so I did text another host. Never heard from her either. I wanted to book a room because Rincon has been selling out on the weekends and if you are 7 Stars you are supposed to get a complimentary room if you book it 48 hours in advance. We have never paid for a room there before. I ended up going into my offers online and finding one for 2 free nights so I just used that. I'll probably hear from my host today.

Earlier in the week my host told me the hotel was overbooked due to a Vietnamese New Years Concert on Saturday night. I chose to go Friday night to avoid the crowds.

There is also some kind of mystery cash offer this Saturday. It was a special mailer. I am probably going to drive down to stick my card in the machine since I am guaranteed at least $100 and the max mystery offer is $1,000 plus I get my weekly $150. And $250 guaranteed free play makes it worthwhile to make the drive for $40 of gas.

I didn't know there was a concert there this weekend. I guess I was lucky to get the room booked under my offer then. I will check my offers for free play as well.

I can’t believe I almost missed the Mystery Bonus Free Play. I only saw the free Personal Grill.

We are going Friday - Sunday. Looks like we are getting 2 grills or they always offer us $20.00 each in free play.

I asked about the free play in lieu of the watches a couple of weeks ago (men's watch had a retail sticker price of $155) and they said no. But in the past I did get offers of $10 or $20 free play instead of some small gift items.

I also got the Prize scramble for Friday (same amounts as you) and now that I look at the offer more closely I might be better off going Friday instead of Saturday IF I only get the minimums on the Prize scramble and the mystery amount on Saturday. The different isn't that much, however, and on Saturday I wouldn't have to fight the traffic.

There is an error on the TR Website (big shock, right?) involving Seven Stars.

It frequently happens involving the Rincon.

If it tries to charge you a rate, call a host. They HAVE to give you a room given 48 hours notice, and it has to be comped.

When I read Dan's post above I had to check the Caesars website and the benefits for 7 Stars members, and it says:

"When you notify your host 48 hours prior to your arrival, you'll have complimentary accommodations at your choice of Total Rewards destinations across the United States and Canada."

That's pretty clear to me unless, somehow, Rincon is exempt -- and that would be very surprising.
