A friend went to Vegas this week and used Total Rewards comp points to get free play vouchers for blackjack. He is a Diamond player and converted about $975 worth of comp dollars into free play vouchers but he was disappointed to learn that whatever amount you convert into "free play" you can only get a maximum of ten vouchers per transaction.
So, for example, if you convert comps into $500 of free play, the maximum number of free play vouchers or bets is ten for $50 each. That's fine for a player who makes $50 bets. But what if you play at a $25 table or a $10 table?
Then what you need to do is convert a smaller amount of comp dollars into free play if you want to get the maximum of ten bets at the smaller "table minimum" amount. So if you want to play at a $10 table you would convert comp dollars into $100 of free play and then get ten of the $10 table game betting vouchers.
The rules are also the same for slot players, but if you got $10 vouchers you could still put them into a 25-cent slot machine and make single coin 25-cent bets. So this issue is of more concern to table game players.
What I don't know is how many times per day (24-hour period) can you convert Total Rewards comp dollars into free play dollars? If you have comp dollars worth $500 of free play, can you make five different transactions of $100 each so you could maximize the number of $10 bet vouchers? Or are you limited to one conversion per day?
By the way, there is a limit of $500 of free play per 24 hour period at the Total Rewards casinos. So if you have several thousand dollars worth of comps that you want to use as free play, you can do it but only at the maximum of $500 of free play per day.
