From Pala Casino in northern San Diego County:

Choices the Buffet at Pala Casino Spa & Resort will expand its menus for holiday diners on Valentine’s Day, Friday, Feb. 14, and President’s Day, Monday, Feb. 17.

After its regular lunch service, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Southern California’s largest buffet will expand its Valentine’s Day dinner menu from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. to include Chilled Canadian Snow Crab Clusters, Alaskan King Crab, Lobster Tail, Honey Mustard Rack of Lamb, Texas Style Prime Rib with Eye-Bone In, a Sushi Carving Station and a Shrimp Sautee Station along with all the specialty items that will be at the Asian Station in celebration of Chinese Lunar Year. Those menu additions include Asian Roasted Duck, Fu-Chi Fish, Whole Suckling Pig, Supreme Shrimp, Jade Ramen, Golden Cheese Wanton, Fried Chinese Rice Cake, Sweet Red Bean Soup and Halo Halo for dessert. As always, Executive Pastry Chef Albert Cruz’’ daily selection of over 80 desserts will be served.

On President’s Day, Choices will offer an expanded menu from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with limited brunch items served until 1 p.m. Additional selections will include Chilled Canadian Snow Crab Clusters, Oysters on the Half Shell, Roasted Leg of Lamb, Shrimp Scampi, Rack of Pork, Carved Roasted Prime Rib, Barbecue Brisket, Cocktail Shrimp and Rib Eye Steaks. And again, do not forget Chef Albert’s limitless desserts.

Valentine’s Day dinner feasting can begin for $42 per person, plus tax. Pala Privileges card members and all their guests can enjoy Valentine’s Day dinner at Choices for $33.60 person, plus tax; Gold level cardholders and guests, $29.40 per person, plus tax; Platinum and guests, $21, plus tax, and Elite members and guests are free.

President’s Day dining will begin at $30.74 per person, plus tax. Privileges card members and all their guests may dine for $24.59 per person, plus tax; Gold level cardholders and guests, $21.52, plus tax; Platinum and guests, $15.37, plus tax, and Elite members and guests are free.
