Thread: Aaron and Alan meet up at Rincon

Aaron and I have hooked up at Rincon, and while we didn't have much of a conversation the first time -- last night we chatted for about a half hour, I think. We both came in for the free play promotions. Photo of the two dudes below.

I was lucky with my free play. I had $250 of free play and when Aaron stopped by I was up to about $750 playing $1 8/5 Bonus. (The machine with Aces and Faces was taken.)

After Aaron left to go up to his room, I resumed playing (a mistake) and cashed out at $400 which was a loss of $350.

I went to craps and bought in for $100 and several players had long rolls. One play got four points on the fire bet which paid $125. I cashed out $505 which was a gain of $405.

And back to video poker. But here's where I followed the advice of Rob Singer. Rob says after you win you should move down in denomination and that's what I did.

I went to a 25-cent Royal Aces Bonus game (this is where quad aces pays the same as a royal.) And with only a few 20s in the machine I was dealt quad aces for $1,000.
Photo below. By the way the machine does lock up for this $1,000 pay and a hand pay is required.

Wins of $1,000 up to $1199 do not require a hand pay in the high limit room, but in the regular video poker area a handpay is needed. (Don't worry Rob, the staffers don't have their hands out for a tip on the $1,000 hand pays.)

After playing all night Friday, I went back Saturday evening to "cash out" in another promotion at Rincon. The second promotion offered $175 cash to show up, plus an extra rebate (cash) on play between 6am and 9:30pm. I actually was at the casino until about 8am Saturday morning from my Friday night romp so I was entitled to an additional $20. In all, by just showing up I would get $195 cash without making a bet.

Again, I estimate the gas at $40 so driving there for a $155 cash profit made economic sense. In fact, I decided that if I came home with just $50 cash and played and lost $105 it would still make sense.

So I went to the 25-cent Double Double Bonus progressive game and put in $60. With about $50 gone I drew quad aces which paid $210.50 because there was a progressive attached to it. (With a kicker the progressive amount was about $527.)

I played the remaining credits and cashed $210.50 (what the quad aces were worth) and went to the $1 Aces and Faces game. I played for a short time and had a high meter of $220 and a low of $170. When I bounced back to $210 I cashed out -- breaking even at that game.

I decided to play card craps -- and that's where I got lucky.

I bought in for $200 but my initial bet was only $30 on the table. The shooter who just got the dice went on a tear winning four points for a Fire Bet payoff of $125 plus the wins on the place bets, hard ways and odds bets.

I colored up and left the table with $485 and that's what I came home with. So in short... I showed up and collected $195 in cash, won about $140 at 25-cent Double Double Bonus thanks to quad aces, and then caught a hot roll at card craps.

My entire time in the casino was about 90 minutes.

Of course this wasn't a big win by "Rob Singer standards" but I left feeling good.

Congrats on the win(s) guys. If you are still going to Vegas at the end of Feb, say the days in the other forum. I'll try and come down and say hi.
