Well, here's my update now that July is over: I have now played at least 109,754 hands of video poker this year without a royal flush. The number could be more considering the "multiple play" games I played at lower than my usual denomination of play. Then add in a few more thousand hands played since my last royal in early December of last year.

Yet, I read on other message boards how other players get their royals on every visit to a casino -- some of those players getting two royals or more just hours apart.

I'm waiting for lightning to strike. I only hope it's not the real lightning that comes from the sky.
